Molluscs and specifically bivalves represent an important portionoftheaquacultureproducts.Traditionally, thecultivationofbivalvesis takingplaceinthenatureandishighlydependentonspatcollectedfromtheir surroundingenvironmentandthenarrangedmainlyalongthecoastline.Onthe otherhand, hatcheriesofmanycommercialbivalvespeciesprovideconsiderable numbersofspatandplayanenhancedroleinagrowingindustry.Thebivalve cultures running into the sea confront a number of risks, tasks and problems which haveanimpacttothequalityandproductionsoftheseanimals. Also, the cultivationmethodsandclaimingareasfortheiruse, causeconflictsdueto environmental and social matters which quite often arise. The aim of this research was to develop a method of producing microalgae in the effluent water of bivalve cultures andtoprovidetheresultedbiomassofmicroalgaeasfoodforbivalves.Seven experimentsintotalhavebeenconducted.Inprior, theoysterOstreaedulishas been selected to provide the medium to cultivate microalgae (Isochrysis galbana). .
