The extensive product range offers you valves and actuators with a long service life that meet any control or hydraulic requirements when it comes to the generation, distribution and usage of heating or cooling energy. They are also ideally suited for district heating/cooling, steam or drinking water applications as well as modernizations or renovations. Acvatix actuators are suited for all types of controllers used in connection with intelligent and optimum room and build-ing automation. Auxiliary functions sup-port effi cient plant monitoring and rapid troubleshooting. In the event of failure of individual plant components, energy supply, distribution or consumption can still be ensured via convenient manual operation. ■ The heart: the central HVAC plantWhether they operate with water, steam or heat transfer oils, central HVAC plants are used to generate and distribute heating and cooling energy to maintain comfortable temperatures in buildings, zones and rooms. They consist of primary plants for heating, cooling, ventilation and air conditioning as well as of distri-bution networks in buildings and district heating/cooling systems. Acvatix valves and actuators ensure energy-effi cient operation for optimum comfort in all operating and load situations.

■ Everything for high energy effi ciencyAcvatix helps to ensure that buildings achieve the highest energy effi ciency classes according to the European Norm EN 15232 (energy performance of build-ings).

This means you can design your plant optimally in terms of hydraulics and control thanks to the fi nely graduated range – also for part load behavior such as summer/winter or day/night operation. This reduces energy consumption and thus operating costs.

In addition, actuators with very short positioning times optimize the energy effi ciency in fast controlled systems, in controlled systems with a high degree of diffi culty, or in plants with very dy-namic plate heat exchangers. The electro-hydraulic actuators control very high dif fer ential pressures and large volumetric fl ows using little energy. And the high-precision, fast-acting valves with mag-netic actuator save energy particularly in chilled water plants.

Acvatix for central HVAC plants ■ Your variety for energy generation and distribution

Acvatix offers you all types of valves and actuators required for central HVAC plants. The range includes 2-port and 3-port valves with fl anged or threaded connections and butterfl y valves – com-bined with actuators that can be driven by all room and building automation con-trollers. The valves are suited for open and closed circuits with water, water with anti-freeze, drinking water, steam and other media.

This means that with Acvatix, you can im- plement all control, shutoff and change-over functions in HVAC and drinking water plants, whether simple, small, large or complex.

The room and zone controllers ensure comfort in individual living and working spaces in all operating situations. Quiet, fast-acting and accurate valves and actuators are necessary to minimize tem-perature fl uctuations and to save energy.

■ A wide selection for various combinations

The Acvatix range can be combined in a number of ways, making a signifi cant contribution to optimum room and zone control. The products range from the high-performance models of the Elite line to radiator valves. They can be combined with thermostatic, thermal or electromo-toric actuators. The recommended device combinations for the corresponding appli-cations were all tested in the lab and in the fi eld for their suitability and control performance.

■ Just save energy – room by room, zone by zone

With the extensive product range, you can optimally design room and zone applications with hydraulics and control, saving energy and costs.

MiniCombiValves and combi valves combine three functions: a control valve for controlling the volumetric fl ow, an adjusting mechanism for a presettable volumetric fl ow and a differential pressure controller for balancing pressure fl uctu-ations in the hydraulic system. They alsoensure load-independent, automatic hydraulic balancing of heating and venti-lation plants. What’s more, they prevent rooms and zones from over- or under-supply, enhance comfort and allow par-ticularly energy-effi cient applications.

In addition, valve characteristics for linear or continuous supply of heating and cool-ing energy via air heating and air cooling coils contribute to energy effi ciency.

■ Products with long-term investment protection

When you select valves and actuators for room and zone applications, you rely on rugged products manufactured according to strict quality guidelines that ensure a long service life and reliable operation. Acvatix offers you hermetically sealed mixing, diverting and 2-port valves for refrigeration plants. These include re-frigerant valves for expansion, hot-gas and suction throttle applications. All valves are compatible with stan dard con-troller signals 1) and operating voltages AC 24 V or DC 20...30 V.

■ Greater energy effi ciency for refrigeration systems

All Acvatix refrigerant valves save energy in the refrigeration plant, for example through their accurate superheat control also in part load situations. In addition, the fi ne stroke resolution enables exact positioning and thus accurate and effi cient energy control. Thanks to the positioning time of less than one second, you can handle even the most diffi cult control tasks reliably while saving energy.

For instance, automatic, fast shutoff in the event of a power failure prevents the temperature and pressure from reaching excessive levels – a safety function that products of other manufacturers can only ensure with additional plant components.

To ensure that dynamic processes in refrig-eration plants can be handled optimally with small amounts of refrigerants, all 2-port refrigerant valves have an integrated high-precision position controller with a stroke resolution of 1:1000.

■ Simple and environmentally friendlyThe refrigerant valves are not only simple to install and maintenance-free, but also environmentally compatible: In all actu-ators the core is completely surrounded by a pressure tube. The magnet coil is located outside the refrigerant circuit, therefore the system is hermetically sealed. The magnet coil generates a magnetic fi eld that is transmitted through the pressure tube, causing the core to move and thus the valve to travel. Refrigerant valves from Siemens do not have static or dynamic seals that could release refrigerants into the environment in the event of damage.
