İtalya doğumlu Marco Schiavo , Avellino Konservatuvarından mezun olmuştur.Çok iyi öğretmenlerle çalışmış ve ilk uluslararası kariyer konserlerini 1992 de Moskova ve St. Petersburg da vermiştir.Bu parlak ve çok başarılı konserlerin ardından dünya çapında birçok büyük şehirler ve salonlarda konserler vermek , Radyo, CD ve DVD kayıtları yapmak üzere davetler almıştır. Halen Messina ve Bari konservatuvarlarında dersler veren M. Schiavo Japonya, ABD ve Avustralya da “ Masterclass “ lar vermektedir.

Resital ve konserlerinde Bach’tan günümüz müziğine kadar uzanan bir repertuvara sahip olan S. Marchegiani son zamanlarda kendini Chopin müziği üzerine odaklamıştır. Chopin eserlerinin ünlü yorumcusu, dinleyicisi , hakkında yazılar yazan,araştırmalar yapan yazarlar onunla ilgili efsanevi anekdotlar yazmaktadırlar. 2010 yılında Chopin’in 200 ncü doğum tılı anısına Kissin, Ciccolini ve Berezovsky gibi ünlülerle “ Nohant Festivali “ne davet edilen S. Marchegiani orada da ününü kanıtlamış, büyük takdir toplamıştır. 2013 yılında Amadeus etketi altında Chopin’in tüm Noktrünlerinin CD sini yapmış ve kritiklerden fevkalade övgüler almıştır. Birçok ülkede Radyo ve TV Programları kayıtları yapan ,tüm dünyada “Masterclass “lar veren S. Marchegiani, yarışmalarda Jüri üyesi olarak ta aranmakta son zamanlarda ise “ Alessandria Vivaldi “ konservatuvarında dersler vermektedir.

At the same time as solo concert international activity, since 2006 they play together all over the world performing hundreds of concerts in the most prestigious venues and festivals including Carnegie Hall in New York, Goldener Saal at Musikverein and Konzerthaus in Vienna, Philharmonie (Grosser Saal) and Konzerthaus in Berlin, Laeiszhalle in Hamburg, Beethoven-Haus in Bonn, Smetana and Dvořák Hall in Prague, Suntory Hall in Tokyo, Solis Theatre in Montevideo, Sao Paulo Hall in Brazil as well as in Rome, Paris, Zurich, London, Moskow, St. Petersburg, Montreal, Washington, Mexico City, Baku, Astana, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Singapore, etc. In 2013 they made their debut at prestigious Ravello Festival playing Mozart’s Concerto for two pianos and orchestra K. 365. Their dazzling career has made them regular guests with the most prestigious orchestras such as Berliner Symphoniker, Budapest Symphony Orchestra, New York Symphonic Orchestra, Mexico State Symphony Orchestra, Prague Chamber Orchestra, Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra, Madrid Chamber Orchestra and Azerbaijan State Symphony Orchestra. They also performed with Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra in Dvořák Hall; this concert was broadcasted live by Czech National Radio and later by Italian National RAI Radio3. They also recorded for important National TV and Radio channels in Mexico, Bulgaria, Russia, Germany, Hong Kong, etc. In 2014 Decca label published their first CD, completely dedicated to Franz Schubert which got amazing reviews from the critics. “In the Fantasia the two pianists play with a lively and easy immediacy, whilst giving a strong sense of clarity to Schubert's more poetic movements… it has some lovely poignant moments and his highly evocative… The remainder of the items on the disc are all admirably played” (Robert Hugill); “Marco Schiavo and Sergio Marchegiani do a nice job with this music… they're forthright and clear-eyed, producing a nice range of tones and textures, and handling transitions with assurance...” (Stephen Francis Vasta). Sergio Marchegiani and Marco Schiavo studied with great musicians such as Ilonka Deckers Küszler, Alexander Lonquich, Bruno Canino, Franco Scala, Aldo Ciccolini and Sergei Dorenski. They teach in Trapani and Potenza Conservatories and are in frequent demand for masterclasses and piano competition jury all over the world (Germany, Spain, Serbia, Turkey, United States, Mexico, Kazakhstan, Japan, Australia, Brazil, etc.).

Marco Schiavo (Piano)

Italian born pianist Marco Schiavo studied at the Conservatory of Avellino where he graduated magna cum laude. He has had many notable teachers and gave his international debut in 1992 with two concerts in Moscow and St. Petersburg. During his brilliant concert career he has been invited to perform by prestigious institutions, worldwide, in major cities such as Rome, Milan (Sala Verdi), Paris, Madrid, Berlin, Prague (Rudolfinum) Tokyo, Sydney (Opera House), Dubai, New York (Carnegie Hall), Buenos Aires (Teatro Colon), Vienna (Musikverein and Konzerthaus) and beyond. He has played with notable orchestras such as the Russian Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra of Estado de México, The Colorado Symphony Orchestra, The New York Simphonic Orchestra, Budapest Symphony Orchestra and many others. His concerts have been broadcast internationally in Spain, Brazil, Canada, Australia, Germany, Italy and beyond and he has recorded several CD’s and DVD. He has taught at Messina and Bari’s Conservatory and he has given special courses and master classes internationally ( Japan, USA, Australia).

In 2010 he was invited to play at Nohant Festival for Chopin’s 200° birth anniversary together with acclaimed soloists such as Kissin, Ciccolini and Berezovsky.In 2013 Amadeus label released his double cd with Chopin Complete Nocturnes which got amazing reviews from the critics: “…a new, excellent complete version of Chopin Nocturnes”; “the Chopin’s brilliance thought emerges in its amazing prominence”; “In this recording Sergio Marchegiani gives us an example of an absolute empathy between composer and performer…”. Since ten years he also works with pianist Marco Schiavo playing hundreds of concert all over the world. Schiavo-Marchegiani is one of the most dynamic and appreciated Italian piano duet; in 2014 Decca published their first CD dedicated to Franz Schubert. A new CD with Brahms’s complete Hungarian Dances will be released soon. Born in Alessandria, Mr. Marchegiani began his piano studies at age 5 and performed his first solo recital when he was 10. He studied with Giuseppe Binasco (who trained under Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli and Alfred Cortot guidance), Ilonka Deckers Küszler (great Hungarian piano teacher coming directly from Franz Liszt pianistic school), the Polish pianist Marian Mika (coming from Paderewski pianistic school), Alexander Lonquich and Bruno Canino. Currently he teaches piano at “A. Vivaldi” Conservatory in Alessandria; he is in frequent demand for master classes, lectures and piano competition adjudication all over the world.
