Wind turbines turn the energy contained in the wind into electrical energy. There are different ways to achieve this goal.

Most wind turbine models have traditionally been stall-type, fixed speed ones with large gearboxes

A second generation used variable speed, pitched blades and LVRT capabilities; some, like Enercon, introduced gearless machines (but with doubly fed generators)

Avantis has designed a PM generator with extreme high power outputs while being small in comparison, water cooled → low temperature rise

No gearboxes means lower down times, higher availability, less repairs and maintenance ⇒ higher profit

Avantis has proprietary blade designs adding to higher performances than the competition

Other features (like water cooled components) and clever design add further advantages, the result is outstanding performance
