To Whom it Concerns:

My name is Dr. Alexander Moravsky and I am a Senior Scientist at MER Corporation. I hold a Doctorate in Chemistry from the MIPT (Moscow

Institute of Physics and Technology). I have been the Technical Supervisor and in charge of Direct Management of Shawn Jackson’s engineering

project related responsibilities while Shawn has been employed with MER Corporation.

Fulfilling his duties, Shawn Jackson has had direct experience with continuous chemical vapor deposition reactors for carbon nanotube production

and subsequent processing into advanced polymer matrix composites. His specific job responsibilities included maintenance of the continuous

deposition processes, research and development of optimized production schemes through process monitoring, control and parametric analysis, and

product characterization by various spectroscopy techniques, compliance with safety and regulatory concerns related to process by-products and

hazardous wastes.

Shawn was an integral factor in the improvement of the large scale reactor throughput, achieving a four-fold increase over standard reactor processing

time. He generated a process mass balance analysis based on the process monitoring database in Excel to quantify the kinetics of the reactants

conversion. Thereby he ensured that all experimental data, including observations of unanticipated responses to the test system, are accurately

recorded and verified, thus created a reliable basis for process understanding, hence that substantial improvement. Shawn has also acquired

experience with chemical vapor deposited SiC films for advanced composites. He revealed a working knowledge of applied statistics, process control,

material characterization, failure analysis, product consistency, which lead to this notable result. His hands-on experience with nano-materials

development, manufacture and operations was a decisive factor in the fast progress of the successfully completed project.

Topic: Letter of Recommendation Concerning Mr. Shawn Jackson

To Whom It May Concern,

My name is Simon Bilodeau and I am a Research Scientist at MER Corporation. I hold a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Chemistry

from Laval University in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. I have been employed in the capacity of Research Scientist since August of 2008 where I

have been assigned to engineering research projects with Mr. Shawn Jackson for a period of 1 year. Our research project scope involved double wall

carbon nanotube products and polymer reinforced composites. I am writing this letter of recommendation for Mr. Jackson to serve as a technical

reference for a perspective future employer in an engineering or technology company.

Mr. Jackson was responsible for the continuous chemical vapor deposition reactors for double wall carbon nanotube production and the quality of the

end product optimization and characterization. We were professionally integrated in a research team where Mr. Jackson was directly responsible for

all the products used in my research of advanced composites and materials. In addition, we were responsible for upgrades to the reactor design and

implementation of these engineered solutions along with all maintenance activities associated with the reactors where Mr. Jackson held the primary

role in these activities. Dr. Alexander P. Moravsky is the Senior Scientist that served as our Technical Supervisor and was in charge of our Direct

Management of our activities.

Mr. Jackson was directly responsible for improving the quality and the repeatability of the as deposited film characteristics of the double wall carbon

nanotube process. He has standardized the procedures of processing the end products and providing consistent films for the application to double wall

carbon nanotube composites in our Advanced Composites Research Engineering Group. In addition, he has characterized all products to troubleshoot

process drifts, deviations, and defects and take corrective actions to improve changes in film characteristics as well as adhered to industry safety

standards in all respects. He is very detail oriented with his notes and organized in procedural process instructions for others to follow and implemented

a process monitoring database to consistently track and monitor the complete process which improved total reactor product output. Mr. Jackson was

responsible for bringing the reactors back up from process downtimes related to scheduled maintenance as well for unscheduled process problems,

ensuring constancy of the process. Implementing his ideas led to improvements in the quantity and quality of the end products and throughout his work

he demonstrated he is technically very competent to continue in this arena of technology.

Topic: Letter of Recommendation Concerning Mr. Shawn Jackson

Mr. Jackson is a hard working personality type and ensures completion of every job and task phase on time via any means at his disposal including

extending himself from a scheduling standpoint if necessary where it is not common to see him at work early in the morning, staying late at night and

coming in on weekends in a given week to get the job done. He is a professionally, very well organized person, that keeps track of everything

integrated in the scope of a given project and provides clear notes and documentation related to all his working activities. He is a quick learner when it

come to new scientific methods of analysis and has in depth knowledge of process reactors and analytical methodologies related to process

characterization of advanced materials. I recommend Mr. Shawn Jackson and feel you will find him a great asset to your company.

Sincerely,

Simon Bilodeau

Research Scientist
