Awareness of VORTEX rises steadily around the world

We have more than 100 knitting machines, dyeing equipment, and a finishing line to produce knitted fabrics. During our search for raw materials four years ago as part of our efforts in continuing to offer new fabrics to our customers, we learned about the existence of VORTEX. We are very attracted to the fact that functionality can be

added to yarns, and produce and sell mainly 100% rayon and T/R VORTEX knitted fabrics adopting the sales point of anti-pilling. Currently, 60% of these fabrics are sold in China and 40% are sold overseas. From here on, we would like to develop VORTEX melange fabrics.

Following in our footsteps from last year, we again were active exhibition participants at the Intertextile Shanghai 2011 for four days from Oct. 18th to 21st, 2011 in Shanghai, China. Even though the general business environment of the fiber and apparel industry is not experiencing good economic times (due to a drop in raw cotton prices that have continued since early spring), 62,000 visitors, an increase of 10% compared to the previous year, attended the exhibition from around the world.At the Muratec booth, people from all across the industry including apparel, knit, and woven fabric makers, spinning companies including VORTEX users, raw material manufacturers, yarn wholesalers and the media visited. As with last year’s exhibition, Muratec staff once again highlighted the superior functionality of VORTEX yarn to visitors while displaying the latest VORTEX fabrics. We feel sure that awareness and demand for VORTEX have increased around the market, from the fact that some visitors came to the exhibition looking for VORTEX products and the other exhibitors of knitting companies displayed the actual products from VORTEX yarn.We will continue to proactively promote VORTEX spinning and VORTEX yarn.

We have researched VORTEX since 1997, and now focus on development of VORTEX yarns for 100% Viscose, Modal, Tencel, etc., T/C and 100% Polyester. VORTEX is superior in anti-spinning and offers a clear and beautiful

appearance. It seems that this unique texture will be accepted by more people over time.

We exhibit VORTEX samples - Rayon, T/R, Polyester, T/C and CVC, and get the encouraging fact that the awareness is growing. Many companies especially from Japan and Korea have started to look for the business partners who respond their requirements for variety of products and provide the customized yarns. We at Lucky

Spinning with wide range of products have started some business for their customized products. We feel that there is a need to bring the VORTEX manufacturers under one umbrella and we, VORTEX manufactures, should share the information of each type of fibers, fiber finishes and fabric finishes.

From September 22 to 29, 2011, ITMA 2011, the international trade show a once every four years event was held. 1,350 companies exhibited from forty-five countries and regions and visitors exceeded 100,000 in total from 138 countries and regions. We, Muratec, were pleased to debut our new lineup - Automatic winder “Process Coner II QPRO”, Active-Arm-Traverse winder “FPRO”, and VORTEX spinning machine “VORTEX III 870”. We’ll continue doing our best to live up to your expectations with new technologies.

PROCESS CONER II QPRO“Completely new concept” of Winder proposed

ITMA is the most important exhibition and a part of our history for Muratec. It is where we unveil technologies we have developed. It is also the place where we listen to customer opinions which triggers the start of our development process again.At this ITMA 2011, customers from all over the world visited our booth from the first day to the last day. We are grateful for the large number of valuable comments we received.This time, we released a new model “Process Coner II QPRO.” As the successor model of the 21C which acquired a good reputation over the past 10 years, all the staff of technical, sales, service, and manufacturing worked together to focus on the latest model development and released this model with confidence. In consideration of the textile industry environment, functions required for automatic winders including not only high productivity, high quality, and ease in maintenance but also manpower savings and energy savings are important. The development concept of QPRO is a future-

oriented automatic winder that corresponds to the market needs. At the ITMA, we heard that our customers were pleased that the yarn tension control accuracy during the winding process improved. In addition, in a new attempt, we exhibited a manpower saving type (VCF). We have received high marks from, in particular, customers who have considered a change in winders at their factory or customers with understaffing problems.

ITMA has always been the special place for many manufacturers to introduce new technology to the market. As for the Muratec VORTEX spinning machine, we also released VORTEX 861 at the ITMA 2003 in Birmingham and introduced functional development that corresponds to 100% cotton spinning at ITMA 2007 in Munich.

This time, we released the VORTEX III 870, as a third generation of the VORTEX series. We think that it is not too much to say that we accepted the challenge to change conventional spinning concepts. The STS system we adopted this time stabilizes yarn tension, conducts clearing of the spun yarn and senses spinning tension fluctuations. We are proud of this first-of-its-kind system in the sense that yarn is evaluated under ideal environments. At the same time, the model has been designed so that spinning conditions can easily & quickly be changed so as to correspond to diversifying markets and large fluctuations in demand. Also, additional consideration has been given to improvements in operability for the draft zone and daily maintenance.This new model was highly evaluated by a large number of users. It has gained a good reputation from, in particular, users who know VORTEX from the first generation and VORTEX partners. We would like to say thank you to all our

customers and thank you especially for your confidence and trust.

Also, at the VORTEX fabric sample section, we displayed many diversified fabric samples and product samples with cooperation from VORTEX Partners. Through improvement in the name recognition of VORTEX, many distribution industry and apparel brand companies visited our stand for the first time, demonstrating once again the high level of interest in VORTEX in the market.

We challenge ourselves to further improve VORTEX technology, strive for expansion of applications and markets and further establish our name recognition.

Smart Support is a concept for Muratec customer support proposed at the ITMA 2011. It is comprised of “Visual Manager+(plus)”, parts order/reservation system “e-PRO”, and “Muratec Global Service”, which is the technical support by our Muratec professional

staff. Smart Support will enhance not only stable machine operation, but also more promotion of efficiency while maintaining closer communications with customers around the world.

Our relationship with Muratec has spanned nearly 30 years and in this long period Muratec has always tried to be the first to bring new innovations into the market.Muratec first choice in our market is sapphire Group so ours too.The new system “e-Pro” seems very exciting for the parts support. We are confident that like all other products this will also be a product for the customers convenience.
