Diagnostic imaging is an important part of any dental examination prior to treatment planning and newer CBCT and CT techniques can improve diagnosis and clinical outcomes for patients with simple and complex dental disease.

Improvements in image quality, coupled with reduction of radiation doses and increased speed of acquisition opens up a new world of diagnostics in even the most challenging patients. Integration with optical impressions combined with the use of milling and 3D printing open up new opportunities to collaborate with colleagues no matter where in the world they might be.
