I hope you will join me at the SES PTSA sponsored “Raise a Glass to SES” event on March 5th at Sigillo Cellars. This will be an evening to celebrate our vibrant, supportive Snoqualmie Elementary community. The partnership between our PTSA and our school has accomplished so much here at SES, and this night is a chance for all of us to be together, have fun and celebrate. As you know, many of our Cougars will be heading off on the important, exciting adventure of opening a new school. This is a time of mixed emotions for us because no one here at SES wants anyone to have to go. However, true to the nature of our wonderful and caring PTSA, we have this chance to embrace our brave Cougars and send them off with support while continuing to raise funds for the SES PTSA that will be used to continue to enrich Snoqualmie Elementary. It will be a fun night. I look forward to seeing you there!

Sincerely, Kerstin Kramer

Principal

Darhl Edwards Darhl was the hero of the day during the 5th-grade pizza sale at the Winter Bazaar. He kept the lines moving and the 5th-grade helpers organized! Darhl has also volunteered at the Veteran’s Day assemblies and by chaperoning field trips for his daughter’s class. Thank you, Darhl!

Thomas Schuett Thomas is a Mt. Si High School student who was a huge help during the Winter Bazaar. Thomas volunteered as soon as he was out of school until the end of the bazaar. He helped whenever the help was needed and did so with a smile on his face the whole time! Thank you for being such a big help, Thomas!

Mary Miller If it’s a Tuesday then you know where you can find Mary– at SES popping popcorn! If it’s not a Tuesday then you may still run into Mary at SES as she is helping in her children’s classrooms, with class parties, chaperoning field trips and helping the PTSA with fundraising events. Thank you for your ongoing support of SES, Mary!

Shana Kalenius Over the past few years Shana has volunteered in her sons’ classes, on field trips, at the Orange Ruler Fun Run and Winter Bazaar, during the Book Fair and at class parties. But Shana says her favorite activity to help with is Cougar Trail! Thank you for all your help, Shana– we can’t wait to see you at Cougar Trail this spring!

The week of February 8-12 during lunch recesses, Snoqualmie Elementary will again be participating in the American Heart Association’s Jump Rope for Heart (JRFH) program! This annual event invites students in grades K-5 to raise funds for the American Heart Association to help fund po-tentially lifesaving research and support programs that help people in our community. Your student will soon be bringing home information from Mr. McEldowney about how to participate in this fun and worthwhile event. All students are invited and encouraged to participate in the event even if they decide not to raise funds for the American Heart Association.

We will also need volunteers to help staff the event, so watch your email for an invitation from
