Dear Friends,I am so excited to share this 2014 Annual Report with you. ServLife International has had a lot of changes in the last few years, and I’m amazed and grateful to see the level of growth and health that has come from your support and God’s grace. When I joined the staff of ServLife, God spoke 2 Timothy 1:7 over ServLife, “For God did not give us a Spirit of fear but of power and love and self-control.” This verse has guided us the last few years. To embrace the power of the Holy Spirit to boldly share and run the ministry. To lead out of compassion, grace and love. To be disciplined, administrative, self-controlled and fearless in the stewardship of our responsibilities. God has guided us and blessed us. ServLife began over 20 years ago with a vision to plant churches and care for children in some of the most marginalized areas of the world. Launching out of northeast India and expanding into Nepal, we eventually added fighting poverty through micro-finance to more holistically round out our mission. In the last four years we have seen the most rapid program growth in our history, with program participation DOUBLING since 2011. We concluded 2014 caring for and supporting 133 pastors, 333 children and 42 micro-finance families. This would not be possible without your support. Thank you! Thank you,

Adam J. NevinsExecutive Director

INDIAThe second most populous country in the world, India has seen amazing economic growth that has been beneficial for many of its residents. Despite this significant development, deeply ingrained societal attitudes toward women, children, and members of low castes still cause widespread issues of abuse and violence.

Hinduism dominates Indian religion, however Christianity is a growing presence, making up 2.6% of the population. North India, the location of ServLife partners, is a particularly dangerous place for people of Christian faith. However, Christ’s love is breaking down societal barriers and changing communities where ServLife has worked for the past 20 years.

NEPALNepal is a small but ethnically diverse country nestled between India and China along the Himalayan mountain range. In the past ten years Nepal abolished its monarchy and established a republic. It is still in the early stages of development, which leads to high infant mortality rates, weak education systems, and low infrastructure. The pervasive influence of the caste system results in extreme poverty and persecution for many Nepalis.

Nepal’s population is mainly Hindu but Christianity is growing steadily in Nepal. Christians make up only about 2-3% of the population and face persecution from neighbors. However, ServLife staff members see lives being transformed by the gospel every day.

ServLife works with local churches to raise up leaders to bless, serve and multiply the church. Leaders are equipped through our church planting training school and ongoing conferences. Newly trained pastors often

plant churches in remote locations unreached by the gospel.

133PASTORS SUPPORTED

Training classes and conferences are a top priority for ongoing equipping, along with regional oversight and support.

23NEW CHURCHES PLANTED

Newly trained pastors return to their communities to spread the gospel, serving the poor, sick and outcast in their areas.

18LAY-LEADERS TRAINED

The “How To Help Your Pastor” training teaches local leaders how to support their pastor as they begin a new congregation.

86ORPHANS CARED FOR

The children in our five homes have lost one or both parents, leaving them in need of the basic care every child deserves.

333CHILDREN EDUCATED

Scholarships through local schools enable disadvantaged children to study, opening the door to a bright future.

5HOMES SUPPORTED

Fulltime caregivers live with the children in our homes, acting as parents and providing love and support the children need.

Page 9: ServLife 2014 Annual Report

We believe in helping to rescue and rebuild the lives of children who have experienced abuse, neglect and loss. Through our homes and education scholarships children become part of a community where

they are provided with education, clothing, food and love.

The HOPE Fund is ServLife’s micro-finance initiative that aims to free families trapped in extreme poverty. It provides small, low-interest loans that empower families to make money through small businesses in their

own homes, helping them earn up to 250% the average daily wage.

17NEW MICRO-LOANS GIVEN

Loans range from $300-800 depending on the start-up. Loans are often used for livestock breeding or tailoring businesses.

3VILLAGE LOAN PROGRAMS

When a loan is repaid it is redistributed within the community, helping an entire village to overcome the bonds of poverty.

42FAMILIES IN PROGRAM

With average wages of $1-2 a day, many Nepali families must separate to work. Micro-loans enable them to stay together.

While every single thing that we do is rallied behind our mission, we are also committed to the goal of sending the maximum amount of our funding possible to our overseas programs. We ensure those gifts are used wisely by investing in healthy management structures in the USA and abroad.
