For Digital interfaces with 7-segment digits (Fig. 2) faults are di-splayed by means of a message on the 7-segment display.E.g.: Faults Table New Platform Artica Electronic Fridge-Freezers

For Led interfaces (Fig. 1), faults are displayed by means of the Leds (Faults Table 1)

FAULT CHECKSCAUSE

- Check effi ciency of contacts on connector J1 on PCB;- Check the ohmic continuity on wiring connector J014 pins 2 and 1, checking

the ohmic value of the fan;- Check for correct connection of the freezer fan at the freezer compartment

junction box;- Replace compressor;- Replace freezer fan unit;- Replace PCB.

- Check effi ciency of contacts on connector J1 on PCB;- Check that there is a consistent impedance value on wiring connector J1

between pins 3 and 2;- Check the motor terminal block (possible problems due to faulty connection);- Check that the compressor is not in temperature timeout (thermal cutout open).- Replace compressor;- Replace PCB.

- Check effi ciency of contacts on connector J018 on PCB;- Check effi ciency of electronic damper connection at foam-protected connector

behind multifl ow;- Replace electronic damper;- Replace PCB.

- Check effi ciency of connector contacts on PCB: J003 on appliance with Artica Full and J001 on appliances with Artica Entry;

- Check continuity of defrost heating element on pins 3 and 4 of the above con-nector, checking the impedance value is consistent;

- Check correct connection of the defrost heating element at the freezer compart-ment junction box;

- Check for correct ohm value of the defrost heating element across the terminals of the element;

- Check the fuses have not blown;- Replace the element;- Replace PCB.

- Check effi ciency of connector contacts on PCB: J002 on appliance with Artica Full and J001 on appliances with Artica Entry;

- Check ohmic continuity on pins 1 and 2 of the above connector, checking the ohm value given is consistent;

- Check that the solenoid valve switches (open the doors for 5 min. close the doors and switch off the fridge compartment);

- Replace the solenoid valve;- Replace PCB.

- Reprogram Setting fi le;- Replace PCB.

- Check effi ciency of contacts on connector J002 on PCB;- Check for ohmic continuity on wiring connector J002 pins 3 and 4, checking the

ohm value is consistent;- Check that the solenoid valve switches (open the doors for 5 min. close the

doors and switch off the fridge compartment).- Replace the solenoid valve;- Replace PCB.

- Check effi ciency of contacts on connector J012 on PCB;- Check continuity of connector J012/4-way interface PCB connector;- Check effi ciency of connector contacts on display PCB;- Replace main PCB;- Replace display PCB.

- Check effi ciency of contacts of J009 connector on PCB;- Check the ohmic continuity on wiring connector J009 pins 1 and 2, checking

the ohm value is consistent;- Check for correct connection of the fridge fan in the fridge compartment;- Replace fridge fan unit;- Replace main PCB.

FAULT CHECKSCAUSE

- Check effi ciency of contacts on connector J016 on PCB;- Check the NTC probe, checking at connector J016 (pins 1 and 2 for Artica High,

pins 3 and 4 for Artica Entry) that the impedance value is consistent with the data in the temperature-impedance correlation table;

- Heat the probe by hand contact where possible and check the change in the resistance value;

- In the event the probe is wrongly calibrated, cut the appropriate wiring PCB side;- Replace main PCB.

- Check effi ciency of contacts on connector J016 on PCB;- Check the NTC probe, checking at connector J016 (pins 7 and 8 for Artica

High, pins 1 and 2 for Artica Entry) that the impedance value is consistent with the data in the temperature-impedance correlation table;

- Heat the probe by hand contact where possible and check the change in the resistance value;

- In the event the probe is wrongly calibrated, cut the appropriate wiring PCB side;- Replace main PCB.

- Check effi ciency of contacts on connector J016 on PCB;- Check the NTC probe, checking at connector J016 (pins 3 and 4 for Artica High,

pins 5 and 6 for Artica Entry) that the impedance value is consistent with the data in the temperature-impedance correlation table;

- Heat the probe by hand contact where possible and check the change in the resistance value;

- In the event the probe is wrongly calibrated, cut the appropriate wiring PCB side;- Replace main PCB.

- Check effi ciency of contacts on connector J016 on PCB;- Check the NTC probe, checking on connector J016 (pins 7 and 8 for Artica

High, pins 1 and 2 for Artica Entry) that the impedance value is consistent with the data in the temperature-impedance correlation table;

- Heat the probe by hand contact where possible and check the change in the resistance value;
