SCHOOL SUPPLIES FOR HAITI Denise Pillion travels to Haiti with a group from St. Mary's Haitian Ministry which supports a secondary school in a remote farming village. The students need school supplies. Please bring pens, pencils, calculators, and plain backpacks for high school students. No notebooks, please: too heavy. There is a box in both churches for collection. Thank you!

COATS, BLANKETS & BABY CLOTHES are being collected by the Knights. These clean & gently used items will be distributed to the needy in our area. Please place them in the box in church or the office Mon –Fri, 9:30 am-2:30 pm by Oct. 4th.

Thanks to the generosity of our parishioners, we have reached our goal for the Annual Catholic Appeal !! We are among 20 in the Diocese that have met or exceeded the goal set for us. CARD MINISTRY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED We would like to begin sending get well and sympathy cards to those in our parish who are ill or have lost a loved one. COMMUNION TO THE HOME BOUND MINISTRY If you would like to bring the Eucharist to those who are ill at home or in a nursing home please contact the office. Bishop Michael Cote, Bishop of Norwich, has authorized that a mandatory collection for the Cradle Fund of the Diocese of Norwich be received in all parishes of the Diocese on the weekend of Oct 3 and 4. This collection supports Birthright of Windham, Care Net Pregnancy Resource Center, Diocese of Norwich Outreach to Haiti, Catholic Charities and other family services.

A small team from the Diocese of Norwich Outreach to Haiti (OTH) will start a 6-day, 339-mile bike ride, touching five of the six New England states, on Sep 28th, to raise awareness and funds in order to rebuild facilities in Haiti. The course will start in Kittery, ME and go past all 11 parishes/schools in CT twinned with Haitian parishes/orphanages/schools. Eucharistic Adoration: two adorers are needed each hour after Mass on Fridays at St. Philip 9am to 2pm. We need people who can commit to one hour, as well as people able to substitute when necessary. All are invited.
