CANBERRA INTERNATIONAL PITCH & PUTT (CIPP) GOLF CLUBThe Canberra International Pitch & Putt golf club is a not for profit club and, is an ideal way for seniors to keep healthy. Our unofficial mission statement is “It keeps you healthy physically, mentally and socially.” It is just a smaller version of golf and the entire 18 holes is less than one kilometer long. It gets you out in the fresh air and typically takes only about 90 minutes to play, so it doesn’t take a big chunk of time out of your day. On the mental side of things, you keep your brain active thinking about the next shot or which way the putt is going to break etc. It also keeps you socially active as you will get to meet and mingle with a group of people you may never have met otherwise. This social aspect could lead to meeting people who have other interests as well. If you would like more information concerning the CIPP, just send us a message on the FB page or, ask questions in the comments field on any post. Come along and try it, you never know, you just might like it!
