Title:Seed Germination

• Problem? – If “# type” seeds are planted, what

percentage will germinate if planted in a soil sample in a small cup?

• Hypothesis: with complete sentence

• Materials:–1 Dixie Cup

–# type seeds

–Soil to fill cup

–Water

–Permanent marker

Steps:

1. Label side of cup with name, period, seed type and #.

2. Fill cup 2/3 with soil.

3. Place seeds on top of soil.

4. Cover seeds with soil.

5. Water until moist but not saturated.

6. Place on tray in front of room.
