Extracted from quarries near Paris, the plaster that Atelier Sedap uses is worked, shaped and molded near the Atlantic coast.

Made in France, from plaster of Paris by French employees, our products are 100% French-made.

* La recherche et la crativit dAtelier Sedap ont permis de faire voluer les utilisations du pltre et de multiplier ses applications dans lclairage.Le choix du matriau pltre sinscrit, aujourdhui plus que jamais, dans une dmarche volontaire de production respectueuse de lenvironnement.En effet, le pltre se distingue depuis des millnaires pour ses proprits de rgulation hygromtrique, de protection contre les incendies, et de performances disolation acoustique. Il est reconnu aujourdhui pour son innocuit pour lenvironnement et la sant.

Pour la sant parce que le pltre est confectionn partir de gypse (roche minrale) et deau, il ne requiert pas lutilisation de colles, de solvants ou autres produits nocifs pour lhomme.

Pour lenvironnement parce quune politique environnementale trs srieuse rgit lavant, le pendant et laprs de lexploitation. Le pltre utilis par Atelier Sedap provient dune exploitation franaise respectueuse de toutes les normes environnementales. Dautre part, la cuisson du pltre se fait basse temprature, ce qui rduit au maximum le dgagement de CO2. Enfin, les dchets de fabrication et du chantier sont recycls.

* Research and creativity have enabled Atelier Sedap to develop new uses for plaster and innovative lighting applications.Today more than ever, plasters environment-friendly qualities make it the preferred choice.Although plasters capacity to regulate humidity, withstand fire and absorb noise have been recognized for thousands of years, it is increasingly appreciated for being environmentally safe and non-toxic.

Plaster is non-toxic because it is made from gypsum, a mineral, and water and contains no glues, solvents or other substances harmful to man.

Plaster also has very little impact on the environment, since the extraction of gypsum and the production and disposal of plaster are subject to very strict environmental regulations. The plaster we use at Atelier Sedap is obtained from a French quarry that complies with all environmental standards. Furthermore, the manufacturing of plaster produces very little carbon emissions since it is cooked at a low temperature. Lastly, production and construction waste are recycled.
