GAIA GATE: the link between the logistics node and the urban area

Client: Bari Port Authority

Objectives:

� Manage and monitor the accesses to port areas for passengers

and vehicles embarking in the Port

� Manage the access of authorized personnel

� Emission of security cards and documents to allow the access and

electronic and automated verification at the gates

Functions:

� Management of security card (card with bar code for embarking

passengers and vehicles connected to a ticket issued by a Ship's

Company)

� Ticket management with teòlematic data exchange with

Companies ITC systems

� Embarkment and check-in handling

� Management of authorization (permanent, temporary, one-shot)

with RFID devices

� Gate check with specific devices (barcode reader, RFID detector)

� Reports and statistics
