Message from the Executive

Director And Board of Trustees

2

Dear Friends, TELI families and Dedicated Supporters

In 2012, The Early Learning Institute (TELI) celebrated 54 years of services to children with develop-mental delays. Through our steadfast, mission-focused services we demonstrate every day that we believe in the possibility of every child. As we reflect upon 2012, we note the many successes

achieved: * Named one of the "Best Places to Work" in Pittsburgh for the second consecutive year;

* Served over 1700 children through our early childhood education and early intervention programs;

* Increased our service area to include Washington County, reaching 57 additional children; * Increased our endowment fund by 7% through additional gifts and prudent investment

management.

At the close of the 2012 calendar year, TELI held $6,209,087 in funds to benefit our programs for children with special needs. Generous gifts and special event income totaling $356,315 supported our

programs. Our work wouldn't be possible without our dedicated and professional TELI staff, Board of Trustees

community partners and volunteers. Their continued commitment and dedication to our mission mean that TELI is there for children: then, now and always.

Sincerely,

Kara D. Rutowski, MA, CFRE William C. Price, Esq.

Family Testimonials

“We would not be here without our TELI therapists.”

“[Melissa’s]

connection with Gino went well beyond a

patient/therapist

relationship, he loved seeing her for

Our therapy

sessions. Which I think is amazing due to the fact that he

actually had to work while they “played.” I think this is why he

enjoyed his therapy so much, because it

was more like playing with a

friend. She became a big part of Gino’s life

and our family’s as well.

“I could not have asked for better

people to work with Emma.

They have all been wonderful,

knowledgeable and

supportive.”

“I think that our family is very

thankful to have these ladies

to help answer questions and

engage with my Skylee. They

are so helpful and my

daughter loves when they

come and play. Thank you.”

“[Kim] has been a valuable asset to my

family. She is always professional, kind and patient. In our short

time together she has helped my son to make great strides with his

eating issues. If I could keep her here

another 6 months or a year, I would.”

“My family is so grateful for this program!

We love Peggy – she is great. Thank you so much.

Our child has really overcome her torticollis and we

are so happy. Thank you for your help and sup-

port.”
