The Plot

• Se7en is about David Mills (Pitt) and William Somerset (Freeman) are police detectives working in a crime-filled city, who become deeply involved in a case involving a series of sadistic murders. Each murder corresponds to one of the seven deadly sins: Gluttony, Envy, Lust, Pride, Sloth, Greed and Wrath.

It does not show us the setting or the person in the scene this adds mystery but it does show us what the person is doing which introduces him and tells us what kind of character he may turn out to be in the rest of the film.
