May 12 Mothers’ Day Moms enter free with a paying child. May 25 Summer Hours Begin 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. daily, with last admission at 6 p.m. May 27 Memorial Day Free admission and train ride for veterans (please show ID). June 6 Free Admission Day Begins Every Thursday through October 10. June 8 World Oceans Day These marvelous water-filled wonders generate oxygen, feed us, and regulate our climate. Help us celebrate our oceans! June 14 Friends of the Zoo and Zoo Parents Picnic 5 - 7:30 p.m. FOZ members and Zoo Parents are invited to this special appreciation event! Enjoy food and animal presentations. Thank you for supporting Scovill Zoo! June 16 Dads’ Day Dollar Deals $1 Admission, $1 Train, $1 Carousel, and other per person deals for the whole family! June 21 Family Camp Out #1 Things That Go Bump In the Night. Join us for supper & breakfast, an evening tour, animal encounters and more! Bring tent & sleeping bag. $18 per person (max. 50 campers).
