Everyone had a great week at camp, which included daily classes, afternoon free swim, Sally Down the Alley, a camp-wide game of Capture the Flag, and a very colorful round of Sadie Games. Thank you to all of our wonderful campers, volunteers, and parents! We can’t wait until next year! Congratulations to Rachel Stowe! Rachel won Overall State Champion at State Fashion Revue, held during Teen Conference at the University of Kentucky in June. Rachel won first place with her project for the Dress It Up category. She was also selected to serve on the 2017- 2018 State Teen Fashion Leadership Board after an interview process. Congratulations, Rachel, on your achievements! Pictured: Rachel models the dress and jacket she sewed as her 4-H Senior Sewing Dress It Up project.

Urban Immersion Project: Washington, D.C.

This four-day experience combines cross-cultural learning, teamwork, and service learn-

ing in the urban environment of Washington D.C. Youth will build skills and abilities that will

prepare them for success in a diverse

workplace, and they will also build cultural

understanding of those who are different.

Youth will participate in service projects,

learn about other civic engagement oppor-

tunities, and work in groups to purchase

groceries and prepare meals for the group.

You must be 15-18 years old to

participate. If you are interested, contact

An Important Message from the Scott County Sheriff’s Office

The Scott Co. Sheriff's Office in cooperation with the Scott Co. Extension Office wants you to be aware of

multiple thefts that are occurring in your county. These thefts are happening at all hours. The unknown

suspect(s) are entering barns and trucks stealing tools, chainsaws, weedeaters, and any

other power tools. Suspect(s) are also stealing utility trailers and tractors from

surrounding counties. Please utilize the Scott Co. Sheriff's Office " TEXT-A-TIP at

859-509-0510; all tips will remain anonymous. Please stop by the Scott Co. Sheriff's

Office if you have any questions or contact Lt. Josh Hudnall at [email protected] or

Sgt. Mike Caudill at [email protected].

Deter a theft by locking trucks and tool boxes, lock any structure, use security systems

or lighting and communicate with trusted neighbors when going out of town.
