FALL TICKET SEASON IS ALMOST HERE! This year’s Subway Sunsweep campaign will start on September 28 and go until March 18! Teams sell tickets for $2 and keep $1.50 from each ticket sold. Each ticket contains $1 off coupon for Subway AND a $10 voucher for Sport Chek! Prizes include vacation packages throughout Atlantic Canada and a grand prize on Porter Airlines. Available for all member teams, clubs and organizations. It’s fundraising made easy! Reminder that Subway Sportscape’s draw will be held on September 25th. The Summit will bring together leaders and champions of the Canadian Sport for Life (CS4L) movement from Sport, Recreation, Health and Education with a focus on implementing the principles of physical literacy. This year, through a partnership with TAPHE (Teachers Association for Physical and Health Education) we will be engaging over 350 Physical education and health teachers in addition to over 100 of our Provincial Sport and Recreation leaders. PSOS: LOOKING TO INCREASE YOUR MEMBERSHIP BASE? The Community Sport Connection Café is open for business in the Sport Nova Scotia Classroom on Wednesday, September 23rd at 1pm-4pm.This is your opportunity to talk with respective Community Sport Development Coordinators (CSDCs), have your ideas heard, and connect the community stakeholder dots to build and strengthen quality and sustainable programming across the province. Our goal is for you to walk away from this collaborative opportunity with a sense of provincial empowerment and grassroots opportunity. Throughout the afternoon on the 23rd, the individual coordinators will be available for 30 minute sessions. Sessions should be booked in advance through Jason Hansford-Smith. Appointments can occur in the classroom or in the PSO office spaces at Sport Nova Scotia. PSOs seeking general information about the program can come to the classroom between 1pm - 4pm on the 23rd.
