THE ANATOMY OF FACSIMILE ONE

1. The three following demonstrations, with three different pre-clears, were made as an exploration into the anatomy of facsimile one.

2. First Demonstration.

Aud: Did you ever have an engram run out?

Pc: Not completely run out.

Aud: Not completely run out? What would happen to you if you did have one completely run out? Anything bad?

Pc: In feeling, yes.

Aud: Did you get that center phenomenon?

Pc: A kind of line clear down my face.

Aud: Are you on the right side or the left side now?

Pc: I'm kind of centered up.

Aud: Let's move over on the right side. Is this a woman?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Very good. Let's move over on the left side. Is this a man? Yes or no, have you been over there before?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Were you over there when you were a child?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: You haven't been over there for a long time, though?

Pc: No.


Aud: How about moving center now? What happens?

Pc: I get dizzy.

Aud: Let's move center now. How else does it make you feel?

Pc: I'm beginning to tremble.

Aud: You don't like it there in the center. Do you feel any somatic?

Pc: In the middle of my head.

Aud: Is this mytosis?

Pc: No, I don't think so.

Aud: Is this Facsimile One?

Pc: I got a real quick little "yes". Then, immediately, "no".

Aud: Do your ears ring?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Does the ringing in your ears go with Facsimile One, as we are calling it here?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Is this before Earth? Are you being kind of careful here?

Pc: Yes. I didn't like that last answer.

Aud: All right, let's shift center again.

Pc: I' m trying to stay on there, more or less.

Aud: Well, shift off it and onto it, off it and onto it. Shift from right side to center, right side to center, right side to center.

Pc: It's beginning to feel like there is a pressure building up there.

Aud: Okay. Now center. Got it?


Pc: Got something.

Aud: All right, now let's shift over to the right side again. Now let's shift into the center.

Pc: Are you supposed to get a funny feeling in your stomach when that happens?

Aud: Most people do. Tell me, do you have to be wrong to be human?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Could you be right and be human?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Do you have to be human?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Who said so?

Pc: I did.

Aud: Is there anything about being human that is connected with this center, this feeling in the stomach, etc? Do you have to have this feeling to be human?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: What if you got rid of it?

Pc: Okay.

Aud: Would you KNOW then?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Would this be bad?

Pc: Yes. The flash is "yes."


Aud: You haven't realised before how bad it would be to KNOW, have you? (Meter has just shown a drop.)

Pc: I could try knowing once.

Aud: Do you realise that if we knocked out this facsimile we could reinstall it?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Would you mind having it reinstalled?

Pc: Yes, I'd mind.

Aud: Did you fight when it was installed?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Did you fight hard?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Did you tell then you would get even?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Did you tell them you'd find out some day?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Are you going to?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Is that what you are doing in Scientology?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: How tall were they?

Pc: I got a ten.

Aud: Ten what?

Pc: Feet.


Aud: Pretty tall.

Pc: Yes.

Aud: You didn't like it.

Pc: No, I didn't.

Aud: Yes or no, was this on Earth?

Pc: No.

Aud: Yes or no, is Earth Hell?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Were you sent here?

Pc:. Yes.

Aud: Do you have to stay here?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: If you KNEW, could you leave?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Do you want to go home?

Pc: Yes – no.

Aud: (Pointing to one side.) That's this answer. Let's get the center answer. Do you want to leave Earth?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Want to go home to a better place?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Do you like it here? Like it real well?

Pc: I'm getting dizzy.


Aud: Getting dizzy! I wonder why that could be! We're on dangerous ground here, aren't we?

Pc: Yes, we are. I'm kind of scared. I feel the way I used to feel when I was scared.

Aud: Well, is this the basic fear charge? If this the basic shut-out charge?

Pc: How did you know there was one?

Aud: Are you in the center now? How do your eyes feel?

Pc: Strained. I keep trying to slip off to the right.

Aud: Yes or no, is there a lot of sound in this?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Heavy-volume sound at your stomach, too?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Is this the ringing in your ears?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Is this the impact against your eyes?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Is this why you don't like to hear people talk?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Does this come down the tone scale from KNOW to NOT KNOW?

Pc: I just get "no" on that.

Aud: From being CAUSE to being EFFECT?

Pc: No.

Aud: What does it do?


Pc: I think it's on responsibility.

Aud: It comes down the tone scale from being responsible to being not responsible? Is it their responsibility now?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Is it better that way?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Are you supposed to say that, at that point?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Did they install the man?

Pc: No.

Aud: Is that you?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Did they install the woman?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: You got a "yes"?

Pc: Yes. What does that mean?

Aud: It's an artificially set-up demon circuit. Why don't you run this, with thought, emotion, effort, etc and just run it all out?

Pc: I am.

Aud: Do you get full visio?

Pc: No visio.

Aud: Would there be no visio there? Is this incident supposedly timeless?

Pc: Yes.


Aud: What would happen if someone came up to you and served you with a summons?

Pc: I just clammed up on that one.

Aud: Yes, didn't you! What if someone walked in and gave you a summons and said you were under arrest?

Pc: No!

Aud: You don't like that?

Pc: No.

Aud: Your stomach got funny right then, didn't it? That's what it's supposed to do, when you ignore a summons. Let's take up a time in the center when you were very, very happy. Pick up a visio.

Pc: I'm beginning to feel happy, but I don't get a visio.

Aud: Are you supposed to have a third eye in the middle of your forehead?

Pc: I got a "yes" flash.

Aud: Is it better for you to have this third eye?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Did you agree to have it?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: But after you agreed, you didn't like it?

Pc: That's right.

Aud: Now, can you think of something very happy for that third eye to see. (The meter is falling.) Something happy.

Pc: I feel scared at trying to see something happy with it.


Aud: Your tone is coming up. You must be finding something happy.

Pc: I'm beginning to sweat. I've been on the verge of what you're questioning me about for six months.

Aud: All you have to do is run it…

3. Second Demonstration.

Aud: What would happen if you got happy? Would that be bad?

Pc: I expect that it would.

Aud: Are you on the left side now?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: How about shifting over to the right side?

Pc: Okay.

Aud: Yes or no, is this right side a man?

Pc: No.

Aud: Is the right side a woman?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Yes or no, was this installed?

Pc: I didn't get an answer.

Aud: How about shifting center?

Pc: That's a little rough, but I'll try it.

Aud: Anything the matter with shifting center?

Pc: I've got it.

Aud: Does this feel good, center?


Pc: It's all right.

Aud: Do you feel anything else with it?

Pc: A little bouncy.

Aud: How does your forehead feel, shifting center?

Pc: That somatic seems very light to me.

Aud: How about shifting over to the left side?

Pc: Okay.

Aud: Yes or no, is this a man?

Pc: No.

Aud: How about shifting center now?

Pc: Now I've got it.

Aud: Did it also hit your stomach?

Pc: Yes, I got it in the stomach.

Aud: Was it an impact?

Pc: Of some kind.

Aud: Was it a series of impacts?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Was it a separate series from what hit you in the face?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: What hit your face?

Pc: Sound, I guess.

Aud: Was your face swollen afterwards?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Did it hurt your eyes any?


Pc: No, I don't think so.

Aud: Did you have to go there?

Pc: I reckon.

Aud: Did you protest?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Was this a long time ago?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: An awful long time ago?

Pc: A long time, and no time.

Aud: Is it part of this incident that it isn't in time?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Is it just stated that way, or is it really that way?

Pc: Well, it is and it isn't.

Aud: But it is stated that way?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Is the incident timeless, actually?

Pc: No.

Aud: It happened at a specific moment, didn't it?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: In the MEST universe?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: On Earth?

Pc: No.


Aud: What would happen if somebody walked up to you and handed you a warrant for arrest?

Pc: I had it happen once and I didn't like it.

Aud: Would you have to go? Would you have to obey?

Pc: Well, it seems like I did obey.

Aud: Did you ever revolt?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Was something bad happening when you revolted?

Pc: Supposed to, I guess.

Aud: Which side have you slipped over into now?

Pc: It's hard to hold. I get "center".

Aud: Would the right side hate to be banished, thrown away, discarded?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Let this right side answer this: Are you responsible for keeping this individual from succeeding?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Oh, you've been found out now?

Pc: I found out myself.

Aud: Did the right side know there was anybody else there?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Ever argue?

Pc: Plenty!

Aud: Okay, now what's the matter with running out the center?

Pc: Nothing is the matter with it?


Aud: Can you do it?

Pc: I can try.

Aud: Will it be bad if you do it?

Pc: I don't think so.

Aud: When do you want to start running it out?

Pc: Right now.

Aud: Well, why don't you. shift over to the left side and let somebody audit it out? You could probably run it out yourself – oh, you wouldn't like that?

Pc: I've been trying.

Aud: Well, all it is is just these impacts. Keep scanning through it. It sounds like counter-thought, only it's not counter-thought, it's just words.

Pc: Yes, but there are a lot of lies in there!

Aud: What would happen if we slaves broke our chains?

Pc: Tough on them, maybe.

Aud: I don't think they're around any more.

Pc: Too bad.

Aud: I've been feeling mean about it myself.

4. Third Demonstration

Aud: Is this B-E in restimulation? The center eye?

Pc: I reckon.

Aud: Is that because I questioned so many people about it?

Pc: No.


Aud: When did you run into it?

Pc: Night before last.

Aud: Did somebody talk to you on the telephone about it?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Been bad-off, ever since?

Pc: Yes, having to control myself. Is that thing really the center of all control circuits?

Aud: Not exactly. It's just that without it you didn't need any control. Things didn't get out of hand. Did you ever hear of Divide and Rule? A Political maneuver?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: What if you took a human being and split him up into two halves, so he'd fight against himself?

Pc: Well, you wouldn't have to control him too much. If he's fighting himself, he doesn't need much of your attention.

Aud: Now what if you fixed him up so he'd get scared every time he disobeyed orders?

Pc: That wouldn't be good.

Aud: Is B-E in restimulation?

Pc: Something is.

Aud: Evolutionary line?

Pc: No.

Aud: Overt act?

Pc: No.

Aud: Worried about somebody you know?


Pc: No.

Aud: No sympathy? Then it might be B-E in restimulation. Did you get this eye turned on in the center of your head?

Pc: I'm not going to touch that for awhile. Boy, when you hit this thing, you really hit it!

Aud: Which side was it?

Pc: It was in the middle.

Aud: Have you been able to get out of the middle since?

Pc: I can't get back in. Every time I try to get in, I get terrific somatics.

Aud: Well, move into it now.

Pc: Oh, no.

Aud: Aw, move into it. It's perfectly safe.

Pc: Yeh?

Aud: Go on. Move into it. Shift over.

Pc: I have a wife and children.

Aud: How about moving out to the right side, then?

Pc: Oof! What did you say?

Aud: How about moving over on the right side? Is that good now? Is it comfortable?

Pc: The physical right side is, but...

Aud: All right, scan through the telephone conversation you had with me about this, and on up to present time.

Pc: I did that twelve times already.

Aud: Do it again.


Pc: Every time I scan through it, I want to cry, and I feel like crying for three or four days, and...

Aud: That's bad, huh?

Pc: No. It's just that every time I hit it, I'm always out having coffee or right in front of an audience or in the worst place possible. So I go home and say "Well, now I'll get it out", but I can't get in it because of the somatics.

Aud: Do you know what kind of a somatic it has with it?

Pc: I get all kinds. I get a little one in the center of the forehead. If I got only that, I'd be happy.

Aud: Well, get it.

Pc: Okay, I've got it.

Aud: Yes or no, are the rest of them trying to come off as locks, all at once?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Have you got a circuit that's keeping these somatics on?

Pc: Maybe. I don't think so.

Aud: Have you got a left or a right circuit that is keeping the somatics on to protect itself?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Is it the right side that's trying to keep the somatic on?

Pc: No.

Aud: Is it the left side that's trying to keep the somatics on?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Is the left side old or young?

Pc: I don't know. Pretty ornery. Must be kinda young.


Aud: Pretty insouciant? Is it a boy?

Pc: Can boys be insouciant?

Aud: Yes. Now, which side is keeping them on, the right side?

Pc: I don't know. I haven't doped this out. The. biggest somatics are on the left side, and I haven't decided whether I'm on the right or left.

Aud: You can trace this down, can't you?

Pc: I'm afraid I can't.

Aud: Which is the last valence you acquired? The last of the circuits?

Pc: The right.

Aud: Is that a girl?

Pc: No. A man.

Aud: How old?

Pc: Thirty-five.

Aud: Somebody you killed?

Pc: Probably.

Aud: Who is it? Your father?

Pc: No.

Aud: Mother?

Pc: Huh?

Aud: Father?

Pc: No.

Aud: Some fellow you knew in this life?

Pc: No.


Aud: Earlier life?

Pc: You're getting warm.

Aud: Much earlier?

Pc: Yes. Somewhere around the Crucifixion, maybe.

Aud: Did you bump off somebody then? A sinner?

Pc: Are you calling me a sinner?

Aud: No, I was just asking if this is a sinner. What sin did you regret about this time?

Pc: I don't know. Cowardice, probably. I don't know if that is listed as a sin, but I figured that I didn't follow through on something. I got scared.

Aud: Then, the right side was the latest?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: The left side is earlier than that?

Pc: Yes. The left side is a woman.

Aud: What did this woman on the left side do to create the right side: Did she kill a man? …Are you ever jealous of this woman?

Pc: I figure she is jealous of me. That's the egotistical way of looking at it.

Aud: She doesn't like this to be found out?

Pc: No, she wouldn't think too much of all that.

Aud: Well, why don't you just scan backwards until you get back to the center of the eye and run the rest of the thing out? Scan back through the questioning and so forth that I've given people here.


Pc: I didn't like that warrant business.

Aud: You didn't, eh? Are you supposed to report when you get a warrant?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: What will happen if you don't?

Pc: Well, they'd probably catch me anyway.

Aud: How about your stomach somatic? Would it turn on if you didn't report?

Pc: It didn't turn on that time.

Aud: All right, scan through this questioning. That's twice.

Pc: Do I get a box of cigars, or something? That's the first right-side somatic that I've had.

Aud: Sure. Did you get there?

Pc: Well, I've got my feet on the floor again.

Aud: Go over it again. Get up to present time.

(Demonstration ends with straight wire on pleasure moments.)

5. Sometimes the auditor asks a second question without seeming to wait for the answer to the first. We may assume that the pre-clear has nodded or shaken his head. Usually, the context will suggest this.
