THETA BODIES

First Demonstration

Aud: Does any of your theta bodies have any MEST bodies anywhere else?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Which one has a MEST body somewhere else?

Pc: The left outside has a body somewhere else.

Aud: What is the body like?

Pc: About three inches taller

Aud: What does it do normally?

Pc: Doctor.

Aud: It used to be a doctor?

Pc: It is a doctor.

Aud: Oh, you have another body on earth?

Pc: It splits my body.

Aud: The left side of your body is splitting with somebody else? How about a body elsewhere?

Pc: No.

Aud: How about the right side?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Where is the body?

Pc: A long way off.


Aud: Where do you think it is ?

Pc: The first flash is Mars.

Aud: What a co-incidence ! Mars, again. What does your body do on Mars?

Pc: It runs things. A ruler.

Aud: It was a ruler once?

Pc: No, now!

Aud: Now? Is this body alive?

Pc: No.

Aud: Dead?

Pc: No.

Aud: It isn't dead, it isn't alive; where could it be?

Pc: Between deaths.

Aud: Is it lying on a shelf? In a box? Sitting in a pit?

Pc: No, it is standing.

Aud: Where is it standing?

Pc: Standing in a hall, waiting for its turn to report.

Aud: Does it think you are dead?

Pc: No.

Aud: Why doesn't it think you are dead?

Pc: Earlier.

Aud: It thought you were dead earlier? Did you ever die in an operation?

Pc: I never had any major operations. Tonsillectomy.


Aud: Do you think you died in a tonsillectomy?

Pc: Could be.

Aud: It just thinks you are dead.

Pc: Yes.

Aud: What is it doing right now?

Pc: Waiting.

Aud: How long has it been waiting?

Pc: One thousand years, roughly.

Aud: It hasn't been waiting in line a thousand years, has it?

Pc: No.

Aud: Has it been up there (Mars) a thousand years ?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Is it in good repair now?

Pc: No.

Aud: Could you make it do some thing?

Pc: The answer I get is "no", but I think I could.

Aud: Give it a good solid nudge.

Pc: Okay.

Aud: Hit it harder.

Pc: Okay.

Aud: Now make it turn around and slug the next guy in line.

All right, slug somebody else. Now somebody else. Let's start a riot. You realize you'll probably get killed, don't you? Would it be bad if you got killed?


Pc: Yes.

Aud: Would you be free if this body got killed?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: You're not too worried about it are you? Do they ever tell it to tell you what to do?

Pc: No.

Aud: Do they ever tell it what to do?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Is that bad or good?

Pc: Fine.

Aud: If you didn't have to report back there could you go somewhere else? Would you be free?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Is that bad?

Pc: No.

Aud: Where is the body now?

Pc: Here.

Aud: Did the theta body just come back here?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Where is its body?

Pc: Here and there.

Aud: Where is its MEST body?

Pc: Here.

Aud: Is there a MEST body there?


Pc: No, it's gone.

Aud: Is the body gone all the time?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Is it perpetually standing in line?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: How long has this been going on?

Pc: Thousands of years, anyway.

Aud: How long ago did this MEST body die?

Pc: Thirty thousand years ago.

Aud: Is it glad' to be back here? Are you stuck in the incident?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: What incident is it stuck in?

Pc: The eminator business.

Aud: Well, you can audit him (the theta body) out of that, can't you? How about getting him to remember something absolutely real? Find something that was real to him.

Pc: Yes.

Aud: How about something else? What was the last real thing he did? An overt act?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Well, let it answer. I'll address it directly. Are you glad to be back here and off the rat race?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Did you know that anybody else was here?

Pc: No.


Aud: How many others here?

Pc: About twelve.

Aud: How many of those are supernumerary –how many could you get rid of right this minute? Four? Five?

Pc: No, it takes time. About seven.

Aud: What were they from ? Overt acts?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Which one was responsible for holding them in?

Pc: The centre.

Aud: Is there another one here with a body up there?

Pc: No.

Second Demonstration

Aud: Are you way back on the track?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: How many millions of years?

Pc: About fifteen or twenty million years.

Aud: Which one of you is way back? Centre?

Pc: About three of me.

Aud: Does any of these theta bodies have a MEST body elsewhere?

Pc: Yes, two.

Aud: Which?

Pc: The left inside and right centre


Aud: Where is this left inside body?

Pc: Sirius.

Aud: Is it having a good time?

Pc: Yes, I always have a good time.

Aud: Is it nice up there?

Pc: It could be better.

Aud: What is the name of the planet?

Pc: That's the only one I know about.

Aud: Are all these theta bodies stuck on the track?

Pc: Just two are.

Aud: Which is the first one that could be brought up to present time?

Pc: The right centre one.

Aud: What is holding it back?

Pc: The agreement to come here in the first place.

Aud: Can you come to present time?

Pc: I've been trying all day.

Aud: Is it sorry it came here?

Pc: Not sorry enough.

Aud: Did it come here because it has another one here?

Pc: It has a couple of friends here.

Aud: A couple of theta bodies that are you right now?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: What if those left?


Pc: I'd probably go too.

Aud: Which one of those walked off?

Pc: My stomach one.

Aud: Why won't it go?

Pc: Happy, I guess. I have a nice somatic right here. Oh, that one is putting up a protest.

Aud: Is it a man or a woman?

Pc: It's always a woman.

Aud: All right. What is the matter with it.

Pc: It doesn't want to be bothered.

Aud: When you try to bother it, what does it do.

Pc: Turns on a somatic.

Aud: Why don't you move in on it and move out that somatic?

Pc: It's gone.

Aud: Okay, Come up to present time.

Pc: Something is bogging it.

Third Demonstration

Aud: Which centre are you running on? Which theta body?

Pc: Right centre

Aud: How about the center-center?

Pc: Sometimes.

Aud: How about the right side? Inboard right side? Outboard right side?


Pc: Inboard.

Aud: You sorta shift around, don't you? Any reason you have to? Can your centre be trusted?

Pc: Sometimes.

Aud: When did it fail last?

Pc: Which one?

Aud: Center.

Pc: Which centre

Aud: That's what I thought: sound asleep. Let's wake it up. Be it. Got it? Where does that somatic turn on?

Pc: To the centre of the head.

Aud: What part of the centre of the head?

Pc: To the top.

Aud: Is that the somatic that knocked it out? Is this Facsimile One? Are you getting a camera turned at you? Around your head: whrrr … bap, bap, bap?

Pc: Could be it.

Aud: Is the noise like that?

Pc: Not too much.

Aud: Are there three… up there on top of your skull or just one

Pc: It's elongated.

Aud: Like the soft spot in a baby's head?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Is this a lock on Facsimile One?

Pc: Yes.


Aud: Or before "One"? Earlier?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Did you get killed when you were a baby? Fall?

Pc: Hit on the head.

Aud: Did somebody hit you over the head? Vase of some sort. Did you hit a baby over the head with a vase?

Pc: I don't think so.

Aud: You'd better not know, had you?

Pc: No.

Aud: Has that centre got a body which is between lives?

Pc: No.

Aud: Is that body living?

Pc: No.

Aud: Does it know?

Pc: Can't know.

Aud: How about the right side? Does it have a body between lives? What is the view point from that body? Take a look.

Pc: Plastic cylinders.

Aud: Is it sitting or standing?

Pc: More or less suspended upright.

Aud: In a cylinder? Are you inside the body or outside?

Pc: I'm in a body looking at others.

Aud: Are you in your own body? Is that body alive?

Pc: Suspended.


Aud: Move. Move some more. Move enough to knock the cylinder down. What happens?

Pc: The cylinder broke. The body dies.

Aud: Do you feel bad?

Pc: A little bit. Sort of attached to it.

Aud: Was it told that the body would be cared for ?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: How long had that body been there?

Pc: Thirty five thousand years, approximately.

Aud: Were you handled and controlled through that body?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Did you just realize that?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Is it a good thing the body is there?

Pc: No. It's a good thing that it is in the condition that it is in now.

Aud: Got a little doubt on that yet? Did that side keep going back to that body all the time?

Pc: No. Conflicting.

Aud: Are we talking to some other theta body now? There's another between-lives body here now. Where?

Pc: Right-outboard.

Aud: Where is it? Take a look at it.

Pc: Seems like a blank cover. Light from the right.

Aud: Where is the light coming from, a window?


Pc: Apparently. Only it seems like it's in another tank. This one is horizontal.

Aud: Is there a window or port you look from?

Pc: The right side seems transparent.

Aud: Anything else coming from these besides light?

Pc: Vibration.

Aud: Are you inside the body?

Pc: I wasn't.

Aud: How does the light feel?

Pc: Moist.

Aud: Can you feel the vibration?

Pc: Slightly.

Aud: What would happen if this body moved?

Pc: The vibration would go off.

Aud: Go ahead and move.

Pc: Some clamps on. Or held down.

Aud: Can you struggle against it? Go ahead and struggle. What happens when you struggle?

Pc: It gets stronger. I got the right foot free.

Aud: Move it some more. Trying to get up?

Pc: Don't seem to be able to. Vibrations stopped. Seem to be decomposing rapidly.

Aud: Afraid to die?

Pc: In a way.

Aud: Not much emotion about it?


Pc: Apathetic.

Aud: Is this theta body apathetic?

Pc: To a good degree.

Aud: All right. Bring it back. What is the sensation on that side?

Pc: Tenseness all along the side of the he ad.

Aud: Come up to present time. Are you stuck some place besides in this death?

Pc: No.

Aud: Do you feel sad about that body being gone?

Pc: It wouldn't help much.

Aud: Did they tell you to take good care of this body?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Has this theta body been reporting back there between lives?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Did you get specific instructions?

Pc: Yes. What to do.

Aud: Are you stuck in this?

Pc: In the middle of the instructions.

Aud: What do they do in the middle of the instructions?

Pc: They get confused.

Aud: What does that do to your confusion?

Pc: It really fixed it up.

Aud: Then what do they do?


Pc: They say to go.

Aud: Is there a command to forget the life you've just lived?

Pc: I get the first line of a prayer. ''Remember the Lord through all the days of thy life everything will be … hunky-dory, etc." This is the same one I ran into before.

Aud: Does this knock out the past life that we just left?

Pc: Makes me forget it.

Aud: Why? Do you want to forget it?

Pc: I am remembering to forget it.

Aud: What else do you have to do? How about your skills?

Pc: I have to relearn this… I have to forget and relearn. I seem to be bothered by this now. I don't like schools.

Aud: Then what happens in the incident after that?

Pc: I get down to earth and find a body that has been selected.

Aud: How was it selected? Were you given a street number?

Pc: No. I seemed to be tuned in on it. I feel sort of like an arrow, floating right in on it. Like a homing pigeon. Or a guided missile homing in.

Aud: At what period of the development of the body is it.

Pc: Just before birth.

Aud: Are you told that you are dead?

Pc: No. Sleep. Suspended animation or something. Never died.

Aud: Then you depart? How long are you back there?

Pc: Ten minutes. A busy trip.

Aud: What would you say the span between birth and death is?


Pc: About ten minutes is about right. I'm in a hurry.

Aud: Is there anything wrong with your telling me about this?

Pc: Yes. I'm not supposed to tell. They said so during the conditioning.

Aud: How did you get into that rat race in the first place?

Pc: This is all part of an experiment the Martians are conducting. The entry into the MEST universe is an experiment to see what it is like to control things in the MEST universe… or to know it better than you could if you were not in it.

Aud: That sounds like a sales talk.

Pc: That is exactly the way I got it.

Aud: How long ago did you meet up with these Martians?

Pc: About thirty thousand.

Aud: When was the last time any part of you reported back?

Pc: When I was auditing.

Aud: Did it find the body?

Pc: Yes. Found it waiting around.

Aud: This cycle has been repeating for a long time?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Would you say that you must be completely indestructible to take all this?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Do you consider this repetition a sort of static?

Pc: Yes.


Aud: What is this business about Venus?

Pc: Just another group.

Aud: How did you get caught? Did you volunteer?

Pc: I was captured.

Aud: Shot down?

Pc: Knocked down.

Aud: Were you free just before you were captured?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Did you KNOW, just before you were captured?

Pc: Yes. was the first answer I got, then a real big "No Better not".

Fourth Demonstration

Aud: Have you a body on Venus?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Is it in pawn? (A hostage.)

Pc: It's operating, but it's kind of in pawn too. Mentally functioning but not physically.

Aud: Do they tell it things to tell you?

Pc: No. I'm communicating with it.

Aud: What is it looking at this minute?

Pc: It's looking at a desk chart, not with a graph but--I'm trying to describe it--sort of button-like.

Aud: Are you supposed to push it?

Pc: Whenever I feel that it is necessary.


Aud: Are you under orders to push it?

Pc: I'm jerking like mad.

Aud: Are you a communication channel?

Pc: More of a relay point.

Aud: Between Earth and Venus?

Pc: In a way, yes.

Aud: Did you ever hear of Space Station Thirty-Three?

Pc: Fifty-six.

Aud: Who are you commanded by?

Pc: I can't say his name. It doesn't mean the same as here.

Aud: Did you ever hear of Arol Olen?

Pc: No.

Aud: Is he on Space Station Thirty-three?

Pc: I got "no - yes - no".

Aud: You're not supposed to tell, are you?

Pc: No.

Aud: What's the matter with Arol?

Pc: He's a jerk!

Aud: Are there other stations besides Thirty-three and Fifty- six?

Pc: Two hundred of them.

Aud: Which is central?

Pc: They go in odd numbers. One–three–five–twenty-three–twenty-five. It's set up in relays in the odd numbers. Then there are the major relay points.

Aud: What do they communicate?


Pc: Instructions.

Aud: Give me an example.

Pc: Terrific conflict here. Being in such close contact feels very odd. I've never been in such close contact before. I'm not used to it. It's distressing.

Aud: Is this Venusian effort mainly directed at a conquest of Earth?

Pc: Indirect conquest of Mars.

Aud: What's the matter with Earth?

Pc: It's only important for getting to Mars, through the back door, like the Aleutians. They aren't interested in Earth because it doesn't have anything to offer.

Aud: Gravity too heavy down here?

Pc: No. They could overcome that. The civilization isn't developed enough to be of any use.

Aud: Is it one of your general orders not to land on Earth?

Pc: Not unless it's necessary.

Aud: Who signed the general orders?

Pc: Two people.

Aud: Two people.

Aud: How long have these orders been outstanding?

Pc: Two thousand years, anyway.

Aud: How about ten thousand?

Pc: More like six to eight.

Aud: Is your concentration making you forget the board?

Pc: Yes. I'm getting Hell for it.


Aud: How long have you been a communication relay point?

Pc: About two thousand years.

Aud: You've been going through the Earth line for that long?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: You're not giving me the right dope.

Pc: Trying hard not to.

Aud: Do you think the Bank of Mars is busted?

Pc: The government of Mars is still pretty solid.

Aud: What do you get on the board on it?

Pc: A lot of red lights flickering across the top.

Aud: What dispatches are coming through?

Pc: The main government group is still in control.

Aud: Were they upset lately?

Pc: Yes. We were getting too close.

Aud: To Venus?

Pc: No. Dianetics. They don't call it that.

Aud: Am I going against the communicator's oath here?

Pc: Ethics.

Aud: Have they implanted something in you? Is that why you are shaking?

Pc: Kind of made with it — when I was given the commu-nications job.

Aud: Have you been faithful to it?

Pc: Yes.

Aud: Is there any sex among these people?


Pc: Not as we know it.

Aud: Can you breathe their air?

Pc: No.

Aud: Do you eat food?

Pc: No. Absorb it.

Aud: What's the temperature?

Pc: A hundred and fifty to a hundred and eighty.

Aud: Does it feel about the same as this room?

Pc: About the same. Maybe a little warmer, but comfortable.

After the demonstrations, Mr. Hubbard advises the auditors present to have their pre-clears cause the death of other MEST bodies which various of their theta bodies have in various places not merely because it is "upsetting to the Martian regime", but because an individual who is under influences from other places can hardly be expected to exercise great self-determinism.

As with all the other material in Scientology, the student must make his own individual evaluation of material of this kind. Some students will find it unacceptable in the light of their reality. Others will accept it nonchalantly.
