Scien�fic Program shall cover :

1. World Lupus Day

2. Rheumatoid Arthri�s

3. Gout

4. Osteoarthri�s

5. Vasculi�s

6. Spondyloarthopathy and

7. Fibromyalgia

There shall be two innova�ve programs. These two programs are based on superhit TV serial: 'Game of Thrones' and movie 'Clash of the Titans'. The format of program will be as follows:

Game1 Day 2. Game of Thrones - Who is the King of Rheumatology?

6 applicants will speak on the Statement assigned to them.

Every speaker will get 10 minutes to speak.

A Panel of Judges, other speakers and Audience get 10 minutes to counter or ques�on the speaker. A�er all 6 Speakers have spoken the speakers will get another 3 minutes to rebut.

The Panel of Judges decides the King on the basis of who spoke the best, had the best arguments and rebu�ed the best. The King will be seated on the Iron throne and crowned. There will be another prize for the person voted as the King by the audience.

Nomina�ons are invited for contestants for the Throne. Par�cipants may self nominate themselves. They should indicate their preference for subjects RA, SLE, SPA, Gout, Osteoarthri�s, and Fibromyalgia.

Game 2 Day 3. Clash of the Titans

The country will be divided in 4 zones. East, West, North and South. Teams will be named as Dr. Sukumar Mukherjee's team,Dr. V. R. Joshi's team, Dr. A. N. Malaviya's team, and Dr. A. N. Chandrashekran’s team. These Titans will select their teams and the Team leader.

Each team will present a case, which shall be analysed by another team. The Analysing team will be assessed. The Analysing team gets 5 minutes to discuss amongst themselves. The team leader of the analyzing team will decide who will discuss the case from his/her team. The Panel of Judges, other teams, and audience will be free to find discrepancies in diagnosis and plan of management.

The Panel of Judges will decide the Winners based on who analysed and fielded the ques�ons best. There will also be a prize for the best case.

12th May 2019 on the occasion of comple�on of 32 years of

Rheumatology at King George’s Medical University, Lucknow.

We are planning to celebrate the work and achievement of our

founder Head, Prof Siddharth Kumar Das, who demits office shortly on

a�aining superannua�on a�er serving Rheumatology for 32 years. On

this occasion, Department of Rheumatology is organizing an

Interna�onal symposium on Rheumatology. There will be a galaxy of

Na�onal and Interna�onal speakers presen�ng their views on

different aspects of Rheumatology including Rheumatoid Arthri�s,

Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, Spondyloarthropathy, Systemic

Sclerosis, Vasculi�s, Osteo-arthri�s, Crystal Arthropathy, Fibromyalgia

and other So� Tissue Rheuma�sm.

Lucknow is the city of Nawabs and is known for its Nazakat, Tehzeeb

and Food, including Biryani and Kebabs. The dance form of lucknow is

Kathak, one of the famous dance forms of India. 'Chikan' & 'Zardozi'

embroidery is one of the finest embroideries of the world produced by

ar�sans of Lucknow. Lucknow has lots of historical buildings in the

Mughal and Indo-Sarecenic style with a lot of modern buildings and

parks. The Imambara and labyrinth will enchant one of your mornings.

One of the seven wonders of world - Taj Mahal and Buddhist

pilgrimage point Kushinagar are just four hour drive each from

Lucknow. Oldest living city of the world “Kashi” (Varanasi) is six hours

drive from Lucknow.
