PROSCIENTIA- Value creation• To promote the sustainability and growth of R&D institutions

whose activities contribute to the sustainable development of the Region;

• To promote R&D in strategic areas for the Region;

• To create conditions to attract and retain researchers of merit;

• To provide conditions of scientific excellence for the full integration of regional R&D teams in the European Research Area;

• To increase the participation of businesses in R&D activities.

PROSCIENTIA- Cooperation• To stimulate research consortiums sponsored and

developed by companies and scientific institutions and laying the foundations for the generalization and intensification of the relations of scientific and technical nature between the different R & D institutions;

• To support the development of areas of R & D in the productive sector of the Region;

• To promote trans-regional and international synergies to promote the regional development and project the Azores in the European Research Area.

PROSCIENTIA- Qualification• To encourage scientific knowledge and scientific and

technical expertise in the region, creating a solid foundation for improving the human capital in science and technology, articulating higher education and scientific work and promoting scientific employment;

• To support the inclusion of highly qualified human resources in R & D organizations and enterprises, rooting science in the region and strengthening the scientific and technological culture, consolidating the initiatives for the dissemination of scientific and technological culture and the experimental teaching of science.
