From 1,474 Web of Science papers in 2003, KSA achieved 373% growth in output, which is the highest rate of growth during the last decade among the G20 members. KSA papers in 2012, constituted 0.6% world share, up from 0.2% in 2003.Much of this growth has been recent, specifically since 2009.
