PERFORMANCE EVENTS
Write it do itOne student will write a description of an object and how to build it, and then the other student will attempt to construct the object from this description.

Crime BustersStudents will be given a scenario, a collection of evidence and possible suspects and they will use that information to perform a series
of tests in order to solve a crime.
Picture This● Team members will take turns drawing pictures of scientific terms/
concepts, while other team members guess the term being drawn. ● Teams of up to 3.
Bioprocess LabThis is a lab oriented competition. Students will show their understanding and skills involving Science processes.
Road Scholar - Being able to draw and read maps.
Students will be given directions and they need to find a location using maps.● Highway and quadrangle maps may be from one or more states
● The event may be presented in a storyline format
● May be asked to draw features located within a square section on answer sheet using correct features from Testing Area (presented in next few slides)

do well when they don’t.
Disease Detectives
Study Event - Students will used their investigative skills to find out environmental causes of diseases - focus population growth.
Dynamic Planet (physical and geological oceanography)
Meteorology (weather)
Green Generation
Crave the Wave
Anatomy (Integumentary, Skeletal, and Muscular Systems)
Fossils
Reach For The StarsStudy Event – Students will demonstrate an understanding and basic knowledge of
star forming regions, supernova remnants, and the Electromagnetic Spectrum.
