Biological Sciences is the largest academic unit on the LSU campus based on the number of

tenure-track faculty (65). We have three

Divisions within our Department: Biochemistry & Molecular Biology

(BMB);Cellular, Developmental & Integrative Biology (CDIB)

andSystematics, Ecology &

Evolution (SEE)

The department also includes the Museum of Natural Science and the

LSU Herbarium.

There are approximately 150 graduate students in the

department. Funding for these students comes from a

combination of departmental teaching assistantships,
