He was a role model for hisstudents as well as staff. The words, Sirji had spokenon various occasions, are an inspiration to all. Here aresome of the anecdotes related to his life whichmotivated the students and will keep on motivatingthem through generations to come.I was in V standard and Gandhi Jayanti celebrationwas going on in the school. Bade Sir Ji was telling usabout the life of Mahatma Gandhi the father of thenation. I was listening to each and every word of Sirji.I remember, whenever Sirji spoke, there was pin dropsilence in the whole school. Our class was assembledin the school ground whereas, the other class studentswere in the corridors of all the three floors. I feltSirji‟s words pouring into my heart. Sirji believed that“Child is God” and therefore, the monogram of ourschool also contains the same words. Sirji asked us toraise the slogan “Little Flowers Ke bachche, hote haisabse achche.” We spoke to the peak of our voice. These magic words still echo in my heart. Whenever Ifeel less energetic , I recall these words and theyrejuvenate me. I feel proud of being a Little Florian.

He told us how he worked hard to establish this templeof learning. He came to Delhi from Maharashtra witha petty amount of money. But this scarcity could notbar his way. He was highly determined and diligent. His hard work bore fruit. Slowly and steadily thisschool grew to big heights. A small sapling, whichwas planted on 10th May, 1975 has now grown to afull-fledged tree. This episode was an eye opener forme. I have incorporated his ideals in my life.Whenever Ifeel drained of my energy, I remember Sirji’s words and instantly get motivated.

He fulfilled his promise of doing something great. He did so by establishing LFPS Group of Schools. Henever turned away from his commitments either to hisown self or to the society.

Janvi Suri – XI FWe students used to be highly nervous and tensed justbefore our exams. ButSirji’s soothing words would calm our nerves and boost our spirits. He’d ask usto make the best use of our remaining time and not toget disheartened even if we had not prepared well. Heused to say, “Let the gone be bygone.” He would askus to start afresh with new zeal and enthusiasm. Hiswords would cast a magical effect on us. We’d getcharged with energy and enthusiasm. Sirji is not thereamong us, but before my exams I always miss him forhis motivational speeches.

Thenhe handed over the key of the house to the carpenterand gifted the house to him. The carpenter wascompletely shocked. “What a shame!” he said tohimself angrily. “If I had known that I was buildingmy own house, I would have done it so differently.”He realized it with a shock that now he had to live inthat house which he built heartlessly. But now hecould not retreat. He thenasked, who still wants it?” Again all two hundredhands were raised. “Well”, he replied. “What if I dothis?” then he dropped the note on the ground andstarted to put some sand on it. The note was muchdirty and crumpled.“Now who still wants it?” One more time all handswent up without doubt. The saint spoke, “My friends. I have just showed youa very important lesson. No matter what I did with themoney, its value didn’t decrease, you all still want it.Same as many times in our lives, we makeinappropriate decisions but no matter what havehappened or what will happen, you are special, youwill never lose your value. Don’t ever forget i,” endedthe saint. (Arpita Jain) VIII-A MONEY IS YOURS BUT RESOURCES BELONGTO THE SOCIETY

There was an Indian delegation that arrived atHamburg, Germany and waved into a restaurant. A lotof tables were empty. On a table a young couple washaving their meal with only two dishes. Many amongthe delegation frowned at such simple meal.On another table some old ladies were having themeal. When a dish was served, the waiter woulddistribute the food for them and they would finishevery bit of food on their plates.Indian delegates were quite hungry so ordered muchfood. When they finished, there was still about one-third of unconsumed food on table. When they wereleaving, the old ladies spoke to them and expressedtheir annoyance about wasting so much food. “Wepaid for our food, it is none of your business howmuch food we left behind,” replied one of themembers. The old ladies were furious. One of themimmediately took her phone out and made call tosomeone. After a while, a man in uniform from SocialSecurity Organization arrived. After knowing what thedispute was, he issued Indian delegate a 50 Euro fine.

Then the officer professed in a stern voice, “Orderwhat you can consume, money is yours but resourcesbelong to the society. There are many others in theworld who are facing shortage of resources; you haveno reason to waste resources.” The mindset of this richcountry put all of them to shame.VedikaX F Happy Teachers Day

Dear Teachers The result of your efforts is like fruits adorned on the

branches of a tree, they need soil of your toil andmanure of your affection on regular basis .Then thesesaplings become fruit bearing trees. Your efforts maynot be visible right now but their impact will be felt inevery step taken by your students. If they are on theright path, it is because of your teachings. If they aresuccessfully contributing to the society, it is because ofyour preaching. If they are indifferent to socialproblems, it might be due to your negligence. If theyare forgetting Indian culture and patriotism, it mightbe because you forgot to imbibe these virtues in yourlessons.

Dear teachers, you can't forget that you are thecrusaders who are bringing the revolution ofknowledge, you might be undervalued but you areactually a philosopher's stone turning pebbles intogold with your magical touch. You chose this divineprofession because you owe it to your own teachers.

Be like the teacher who inspired you in yourchildhood. Be like the teacher who made you standfirmly to face every odd situation.

We are all connected by the internet ,just like neurons in a giant brain. It has brought a remarkable revolution,On the earth’s every field, every domain.Internet is one of the most fascinating and beneficialinvention of the era. No one is left unaffected by itscharm whether it is a scientist or a driver, a researchscholar or a student, the president of a country or aninnocent toddler. Internet has made our lives quitecomfortable. Yesterday I was overhearing somefriends. Mr. Facebook boasted – “I know everyperson”. Mr. Google interrupted – “I have everything.”Ms. WhatsApp bragged – “Guys, I’m the mostdesirable one.” Mr. Internet smiled and declared –“Hello!!! Can you even survive without me?”Well, jokes apart, let us come to the point. To realizehow important internet is, I would suggest you to turnoff your internet usage just for a day. I know, nobodywill be ready for that. Friends, you will agree with methat internet has revolutionized all the aspects of lifeand upgraded our life style. Internet is now a giganticlibrary that is composed of documents, files, images, videos, contents and websites. Unlimited amount ofdata is added regularly to the library from differentmediums and in different formats. Even now someonewill be adding something to enrich this sea ofknowledge. You will agree with me that internet is a direct door toknowledge. Children no longer have to refer toencyclopedia in some library because they can accessWikipedia anywhere, anytime. Yes! With plenty of e-

books and resource material we are swimming in theocean of information. Sometimes I feel like Alice inWonderland when I go for searching online. So manyoptions are there! So much information is there!Google Sir is available 24 X 7 to guide us. YoutubeMa’am is always there to demonstrate toughprocedures of any task and to entertain us. It won’t bewrong if I say that it is just because of internet I amdiscovering the world today with better perspective.Internet has come as a cool breeze in our busy lives. Now my parents don’t have to wait in long queues formoney transactions, payment of bills, booking ticketsor shopping. Their time and energy both are saved andthe credit goes to internet. Take online banking forinstance, you can pay multiple bills online withinfraction of minutes. Communication with anyone fromany part of the globe is possible now. Video call is myfavourite one. Last year when my mother had to go outof station to take care of my granny, I stayed in touchwith her via video calls whenever I felt lonely.Internet gave instant fame to that dancing uncle, Mr.Sanjeev Shrivastava, whose video was viral on socialmedia. Thanks to the limelight provided by internet,he is now ready for his debut in a film. Some of myintrovert friends started using social media platformlike Facebook, Twitter, Quora and gave voice to theirviews. Even I had a stage fright earlier. Then I startedsinging on StarMaker. There I got positive reviews andoverwhelming response. Thus I used Internet as a toolto amplify the needs of my personality. Internet has changed the way we think and act.Understanding the importance of internet technologyhas helped many companies gain larger markets, audience and create services that reach out tocustomers. Even common people have benefitted a lotby expanding their business using online strategies. It won’t be exaggeration if I call internet as a moderngenie who fulfills our almost every requirement. Iwould conclude with the words:Internet has given wings to our imagination,Internet has brought technological revolution,To solve our problems, internet has got solution,Internet is the magical genie of our generation. -Ayushi Gupta – X A
