ABOUT OUR COURSES

PLC Programming Module 1 No knowledge or experience is required to take part on this course.This course includes the content from Introduction to PLCs for free and provides you with a basic understanding of PLCs that all engineers need to learn when entering this field of engineering, including the background of the PLC, how and where they are used in today’s industry as well as basic programming techniques. This course is primarily for people who have no knowledge or experience in PLCs and wish to pursue a career, working with PLCs, but also may be found interesting by anyone interested in PLCs and how they work. You will learn, basic PLC terminology, hardware configuration, IEC 61131 Standards, PLC numbering, Ladder programming, labelling, how to start and stop a process, the PLC scan and more.

PLC Programming Module 2 We advise completing PLC Programming Module 1 before taking part on this course or having at least an understanding of PLCs and how they are programmed.This course provides you with an understanding of how to write industrial control routines using many types of advanced programming instructions used by all PLCs. This course is primarily for maintenance engineers who are expected to be able to modify PLC programs and to read control routines to identify faults in the process. It is very important for maintenance engineers to be capable of reading programs. You will learn, addressing and special IO used in PLCs, process control programming, incorporating alarms/interlocking/safety into your programs, layout and structure of programs to IEC 61131 standards, alarm handling, status routines, ring and star topology, fault finding and more.

PLC Programming Module 3 We advise completing PLC Programming Module 1 and Module 2 before taking part on this course or having at least a very good understanding of PLCs and how they are programmed.

This course provides you with an understanding of advanced programming techniques for controlling processes in today’s industries as used by high level control engineers and PLC program designers. This course is primarily for people who wish to work as a controls engineer or as a high level maintenance engineer. You will learn data handling in recipe control, extracting data and storing it, how shift registers can be used to control a sequence such as robotic ‘pick and place’ operations, 4-20mA analogue, program planning, PLC mathematics, indirect addressing and more.

Siemens Programming Module 1 We advise completing PLC Programming Module 1 and Module 2 before taking part on this course or having at least a very good understanding of PLCs and how they are programmed.

This course provides you with an understanding of Siemens S7-300 PLCs and STEP7 Professional programming software including the background of the Siemens PLC, how and where they are used in today’s industry as well as setup and programming techniques. This course is primarily for people who will be working with Siemens PLCs at work but also may be found interesting by anyone interested in Siemens PLCs and how they work . You will learn about Siemens hardware setup, rack assembly, wiring IO cards, STEP7 configuration, networks, clock memory, using OB1 and OB100, uploading and downloading, S5 & S7 timers "4and counters and more.

Siemens Programming Module 2 We advise completing Siemens Programming Module 1 before taking part on this course.

This course provides you with a further understanding of Siemens S7-300 PLCs and STEP7 Professional programming software including advanced programming techniques using functions, function blocks, data blocks and how to apply them in programming. This course is primarily for people who will be working with Siemens PLCs at work but also may be found interesting by anyone interested in Siemens PLCs and how they work . You will learn about warm and cold restarting, archiving, data handling, monitoring programs, internal declarations, cross referencing, Profibus, fault finding, creating and using shared and instance data blocks, calling FCs and FBs from OB1, the VAT table, PLC diagnostics and more.

Allen Bradley Programming Module 1 We advise completing PLC Programming Module 1 and Module 2 before taking part on this course or having at least a very good understanding of PLCs and how they are programmed.

This course provides you with an understanding of Allen Bradley PLCs and RSLogix programming software including the background of the Allen Bradley PLC, how and where they are used in today’s industry as well as setup and programming techniques. This course is primarily for people who will be working with Allen Bradley PLCs at work but also may be found interesting by anyone interested in Allen Bradley PLCs and how they work . You will learn about Allen Bradley hardware setup, rack assembly, wiring IO cards, expansion addressing, installing and using analogue, RSLogix environment, RSLogix configuration, uploading and downloading, symbol editor, using the Allen Bradley filing system, Micrologix Ladder programming and more.

This course provides you with a further understanding of Allen Bradley PLCs and RSLogix programming software including advanced programming techniques using mathematics, internal and indirect addressing, advanced instructions and how to apply them in programming. This course is primarily for people who will be working with Allen Bradley PLCs at work but also may be found interesting by anyone interested in Allen Bradley PLCs and how they work . You will learn about mnemonics, PLC and driver diagnostics, OSR, BSL, BSR, MOV, MVM, FLL instructions, RS Linx, RSLogix database, sub-routines and flow control, timers (On/off delay and RTO), counters (CTU and CTD), overflow traps and more.

SCADA Programming Module 1 We advise completing PLC Programming Module 1 and Module 2 before taking part on this course or having at least an understanding of PLCs and how they are programmed.

This course provides you with a basic understanding of SCADA systems that all engineers need to learn when entering this field of engineering, including the background of SCADA, how and where they are used in today’s industry as well as SCADA programming as undertaken when designing manufacturing data acquisition for any type of SCADA system. This course is primarily for people who have no knowledge or experience in SCADA programming and wish to pursue a career, working with SCADA systems, but also may be found interesting by anyone interested in SCADA systems and how they work. You will learn, basic SCADA terminology, the differences between HMI and SCADA, creating screens with the screen editor, screen layout convention, templates and navigation, running the simulator, creating dynamic content such as bar graphs, sliders, 3D effects, indicators, buttons and more.

SCADA Programming Module 2 We advise completing SCADA Programming Module 1 before taking part on this course.

This course provides you with a more advanced understanding of SCADA systems that engineers who will be working with SCADA systems need to learn, including the tag database, trends and alarm handling. This course is primarily for people who have a basic knowledge in PLC and SCADA programming and wish to pursue a career, working with SCADA systems, but also may be found interesting by anyone interested in SCADA systems and how they work. You will learn, advanced SCADA terminology, using sliders to control and change the PLC process, scripts and how to interact with the process, importing databases from MS Office, scaling, creating genies/dynamic/pop-up displays, security and more.
