Daughter and Granddaughter visited Liverpool to oversee
the beginnings of a project co-ordinated by the Mandela 8

Keep it Clear of Clutter
Please note that the communal stairway is the only way to get out of the
property in the event of a fire. It is vital that communal areas are kept clear.
Large items left in corridors or landings block access for the fire service or escape
routes for our tenants. Rubbish can also block escape routes and provide fuel for
a fire which is very dangerous.
As a tenant you must take responsibility by;
 • Getting rid of your rubbish and old furniture from communal areas
 • Arrange collection by using the free Bulky Bobs Service
 • If you have items not accepted by Bulky Bobs, you will have to pay someone
• independent to take them to your local tip.
 • Make sure storage areas are kept locked
 • Do not leave mobility scooters, bicycles, pushchairs etc. in communal areas.
