Page 2: Saturday 20th November HAYDOCK - timeform.com

Going: Good to Soft (Good in places Hurdles course)

Left handed, flat. Conditions are often gruelling during winter, placing emphasis on stamina. Conversely, conditions at the Swinton Meeting in May usually place the emphasis on speed, with a tendency to favour those ridden prominently as a result. Formerly held an undeserved reputation as one of the hardest courses to jump around, something not backed up by statistics, though perversely the data suggests that the chase course nowadays is a more demanding test, that possibly on account of more races being well run.

Pace Information: Weak

1 SONIGINO (FR) (168) 934-11 4 11-3 | 71.2kg Paul Nicholls Harry Cobden Won 4-y-o events in the spring for David Cottin. Tongue tie off and likely to improve further for new yard, though will need a big effort to defy his penalties.

2 BARRICHELLO (10) 93322222-1 5 11-0 | 69.9kg

Donald McCain Brian Hughes Placed first 6 starts under Rules and off the mark after wind op in 19.6f Bangor novice on return 10 days ago, coming clear easily. More needed again, while the drop back in trip probably isn’t ideal.

3 IT’S GOOD TO LAUGH (IRE) (42) 9211 4 11-0 | 69.9kg

Jennie Candlish Sean Quinlan Useful Flat handicapper and has made a very good start over hurdles, following up Perth dead-heat with taking victory at Hexham. Has more to offer, and is well worth his place at this level.

4 KNICKERBOCKERGLORY (IRE) (22) (BF) 9021-4 5 11-0 | 69.9kg Dan Skelton Harry Skelton Fairly useful winner on the second of 2 starts in bumpers for Alastair Ralph but pulled hard again when held on hurdles debut for new yard at Wetherby, albeit showing promise. Should do better.

5 MIGHT I (IRE) (30) (D) 10015-1 5 11-0 | 69.9kg

Harry Fry Lorcan Murtagh Fairly useful bumper performer (won on debut and Newbury defeat worked out well) and impressive when making successful return/hurdles bow at Newton Abbot, quickening clear. Smart prospect.

6 HAUTE ESTIME (IRE) (48) 9124-31 4 10-7 | 66.7kg

Lucinda Russell Derek Fox Stoutly bred but showed a good amount of speed as he left his bumper form behind when making a winning start in this sphere at Kelso 7 weeks ago, coming clear under hands and heels. More to come.

6 DECLARED RUNNERS

BETTING FORECAST:evens Might I, 11-2 Sonigino, 15-2 It’s Good To Laugh, 9-1 Haute Estime, 10-1 Barrichello, 14-1 Knickerbockerglory

TIMEFORM VIEW:Some fine prospects here, not least MIGHT I, who created a strong impression when smashing a subsequent winner first time up over hurdles at Newton Abbot last month. He could be a very good novice and can take this step up in class in his stride. Sonigino and It’s Good To Laugh are feared.

Pace Information: Even

1 JERSEY BEAN (IRE) (28) b 978/311341-6 8 11-12 | 75.3kg Oliver Sherwood Jonathan Burke In excellent form over fences last term fitted with blinkers, bagging third success of the campaign over 25f at Cheltenham in April. Weakened as though in need of the run on return and now up in trip.

2 TRUCKIN AWAY (IRE) (245) t 98P533/4210- 8 11-12 | 75.3kg

Philip Hobbs Sean Houlihan (3lb/1kg) Surpassed hurdles form in light 2020/21 campaign, coping well with the mud when winning at Doncaster then not seen to best effect when mid-field in the Midlands National. Returns with yard going well.

3 CAPTAIN DRAKE (IRE) (23) s+t 98U2/1P540-9 8 11-12 | 75.3kg

Harry Fry Lorcan Murtagh (3lb/1kg) Winning start to last term over hurdles at Uttoxeter. Fine fourth in the Welsh National and stamina clearly his forte but needs to leave reappearance run over timber behind. Cheekpieces back on.

4 AMATEUR (IRE) (233) (D) s+t 992U/2P2141- 8 11-5 | 72.1kg

John Flint Robert Dunne Opened his chasing account at Newbury (3m2f) on back of wind op in December and well on top when ending the campaign in fine style at Ffos Las in April. Big player if fully tuned for this.

5 ECLAIR MAG (FR) (20) 976/65U123-8 7 11-4 | 71.7kg Richard Bandey Sean Quinlan Ex-French recruit who sprung a surprise on British debut in 3m handicap chase at Market Rasen. At least respectable efforts to end the campaign but reappearance run wasn’t brimming with promise.

6 SILVA ECLIPSE (34) (C) s 1003599415-5 8 11-4 | 71.7kg Sue Smith Ryan Mania Suited by the step up in trip when off the mark on second chase start over 3m2f at Sedgefield in March. Travelled with purpose on last month’s return at that venue so of interest with headgear fitted.

7 CHEF D’OEUVRE (FR) (216) (CD) s+t 97U26510- 10 11-4 | 71.7kg Sam England Jonathan England Added to good Haydock record when shading a tight finish in March. Found the Scottish National a bit too much the following month, but he’s since had a wind op and of firm interest back at this venue.

8 BOB MAHLER (IRE) (18) b 96PPP3B49-0 9 11-2 | 70.8kg Warren Greatrex Brian Hughes Pulled up at this meeting a year ago and has essentially tumbled in the weights without really looking ready to take advantage. Blinkers back on.

9 SPEAK OF THE DEVIL (IRE) (30) s+t 96337P4-212 8 10-5 | 65.8kg

Lucinda Russell Stephen Mulqueen Usual deficiencies in the jumping department were not in evidence when successful over 3m at Hexham in June. Matched that form when runner-up at Carlisle but up 3 lb in a better race here.

10 DEFUTURE IS BRIGHT (IRE) (29) s 990/61212-37 7 10-2 | 64.4kg Christian Williams Jack Tudor (3lb/1kg) Progressive over fences last season, winning twice at up to 3m. Set a stiff task on reappearance then better than the result at Cheltenham so he’s by no means ruled out tackling a new distance.

11 FURIUS DE CIERGUES (FR) (29) s+t 97131-22323 6 10-0(9-12) | 63.5kg (62.6kg) Oliver Greenall Craig Nichol Dual chase winner earlier in year and has held his form really well since, placed for the fifth time in a row at Cheltenham last month. Likely to give it another good go from the front. 2 lb “wrong”.

11 DECLARED RUNNERS

BETTING FORECAST:11-2 Amateur, 6-1 Defuture Is Bright, 13-2 Silva Eclipse, 9-1 Chef D’oeuvre, 10-1 Furius De Ciergues, 10-1 Jersey Bean, 11-1 Captain Drake, 11-1 Truckin Away, 16-1 Speak of The Devil, 20-1 Eclair Mag, 20-1 Bob Mahler

TIMEFORM VIEW:The amateurs handicap at Cheltenham DEFUTURE IS BRIGHT shaped well in a month ago looks pretty strong form and unexposed as a stayer, he could be the answer to this tricky puzzle. Silva Eclipse showed enough on reappearance to make him of firm interest, with Amateur completing the shortlist on return to action.

Pace Information: Very Strong

1 NAVAJO PASS (273) (C) 98214/57113- 5 11-12 | 75.3kg

Donald McCain Theo Gillard (5lb/2kg) Progressed again last season, landing Musselburgh handicap and a Grade 2 here (15.6f) in January. Underperformed in Kingwell Hurdle final start but returns with yard in excellent nick. Had wind op.

2 CHRISTOPHER WOOD (IRE) (14) s+t 98392182-34 6 11-8 | 73.5kg Paul Nicholls Angus Cheleda (5lb/2kg) Smart handicap hurdler who possibly needed first start on the back of a wind op when fourth in Grade 2 Elite Hurdle at Wincanton earlier this month. Mark looks about right but should be sharper now.

3 TOMMY’S OSCAR (IRE) (20) (BF) 99112613-23 6 11-1 | 70.3kg Ann Hamilton Danny McMenamin Had a fine novice campaign, winning 4 times and signed off with a good third in Scottish Champion Hurdle in April. Solid placed efforts both starts in handicaps last month and good showing expected.

4 CALICO (GER) (35) (BF) t 991214-8 5 10-13 | 69.4kg Dan Skelton Harry Skelton Useful novice hurdler who won twice last term. Respectable fourth at Ayr final start but below best following wind op on return in Welsh Champion Hurdle recently. Tongue tie goes on.

5 LIGNOU (FR) (166) s 951U3761-09 6 10-9 | 67.6kg

Jennie Candlish Sean Quinlan Responded well to positive tactics when doubling hurdles tally in a Kilbeggan novice (19.4f) in April. However, well held next 2 starts in handicaps and mark demands more on debut for new stable.

6 WICKED WEST (IRE) (126) 9977F24-110 5 10-5 | 65.8kg Dr Richard Newland Charlie Hammond Improved model for new stable, winning maiden/novice events at around 2m earlier this year. Seemingly not himself in Summer Handicap Hurdle thereafter but freshened up since and not one to write off.

7 MACKENBERG (GER) (21) 991231421-3 6 10-4 | 65.3kg

Donald McCain Brian Hughes Bumper/fairly useful novice hurdle winner who notably travelled well before tiring late on when third over 19.7f at Wetherby 3 weeks ago. Drop in trip a plus and good showing not ruled out.

8 THIBAULT (31) t 971U1245-23 8 10-2 | 64.4kg Adam West Richard Patrick Thrived for new yard last term, landing 2 handicap hurdles and a jumpers’ bumper. Encouragement to glean from hurdles/Flat run in recent weeks and each-way possibilities again.

9 OUR SURPRISE (IRE) (21) (D) h+t 100321-42 6 10-0 | 63.5kg

Harry Fry Sean Bowen Improver who arrives having ran a cracker to finish second on handicap debut at Wetherby (19.7f) 3 weeks ago, refusing to settle but seeing race out well. High on shortlist equipped with a hood.

10 HOMME PUBLIC (FR) (249) t 9922210- 4 10-0(9-13) | 63.5kg (63.0kg) Oliver Greenall Craig Nichol Promising start over hurdles in Britain, winning at Market Rasen in February. Not up to the Fred Winter at Cheltenham thereafter but this more suitable on return after wind op.

10 DECLARED RUNNERS

BETTING FORECAST:5-1 Our Surprise, 6-1 Tommy’s Oscar, 13-2 Calico, 7-1 Navajo Pass, 15-2 Mackenberg, 8-1 Christopher Wood, 12-1 Wicked West, 16-1 Homme Public, 16-1 Thibault, 28-1 Lignou

TIMEFORM VIEW:A low-mileage 6-y-o, OUR SURPRISE ran a stormer despite refusing to settle when runner-up on handicap debut at Wetherby 3 weeks ago, seeing his race out surprisingly well. A 3 lb higher mark will hold no fears and he’s a leading player equipped with a first-time hood. Tommy’s Oscar also has a positive profile and is feared, along with Mackenberg. Thibault also makes some each-way appeal.

TIMEFORM 1-2-3:1. OUR SURPRISE (IRE) 2. TOMMY’S OSCAR (IRE) 3. MACKENBERG (GER)

1 ALNADAM (FR) (249) 95441/21817- 8 11-9 | 73.9kg Dan Skelton Harry Skelton Took well to chasing last season, winning twice over 20f before failing to stay 25f in the Ultima at Cheltenham (lost shoe). Suspect he may come on for this, while softer ground would be preferred.

2 ITCHY FEET (FR) (27) s 991U/32253-2 7 11-9 | 73.9kg

Olly Murphy Gavin Sheehan Grade 1 novice winner over fences who was placed again in the Old Roan at Aintree on his return last month, responding well to fitting of cheekpieces. Taking on a couple of promising 6-y-os here.

3 BRAVEMANSGAME (FR) (41) 1006/211132-1 6 11-5 | 72.1kg Paul Nicholls Harry Cobden One of last season’s leading novice hurdlers and made an impressive start over fences at Newton Abbot (21f) last month. Brimming with potential and should prove very hard to beat.

4 PAY THE PIPER (IRE) (20) 991112-212 6 11-2 | 70.8kg Ann Hamilton Danny McMenamin Useful hurdler and quickly even better over fences, finishing alone at Wetherby before finding just Fiddlerontheroof too good at Carlisle. Will be winning more races in this sphere.

4 DECLARED RUNNERS

BETTING FORECAST:4-7 Bravemansgame, 4-1 Itchy Feet, 6-1 Pay The Piper, 25-1 Alnadam

TIMEFORM VIEW:BRAVEMANSGAME produced an impeccable round of jumping when making the perfect start over fences at Newton Abbot and looks destined for the top. He can see off Pay The Piper, who should win plenty more races himself in this sphere.

Pace Information: Even

1 IF THE CAP FITS (IRE) (14) (D, BF) s 975/123290-2 9 11-12 | 75.3kg

Harry Fry Daryl Jacob Really smart hurdler/chaser at best. Ended last season on a low note but made quite an encouraging return to action over a trip short of his best at Aintree 14 days ago. Cheekpieces go back on.

2 BRINKLEY (FR) (247) s 98731/P110- 6 11-9 | 73.9kg

David Pipe Tom Scudamore On the up with a pair of handicap wins in the mud at the start of the year but he was found out in the Pertemps on final start and there’s a chance this ground won’t be as soft as he’d like.

3 ASK DILLON (IRE) (21) (D) s 99422461-46 8 11-7 | 73.0kg

Fergal O’Brien Peter Kavanagh (7lb/3kg) Smart handicap hurdler last season, signing off with success at Cheltenham (3m) in April. Below par in a novice chase and Wetherby Grade 2 hurdle this term but he is back to that winning mark.

4 STONEY MOUNTAIN (IRE) (16) (CD) 981U59/37-P1 8 11-5 | 72.1kg Jamie Snowden Gavin Sheehan Winner of this race in 2019 when trained by Henry Daly. Lightly raced in last couple of years but showed he’s as good as ever when beating Didtheyleaveuoutto by ¾ length to win at Newbury 16 days ago.

5 STORM ARISING (IRE) (247) s 964430/1210- 7 11-2 | 70.8kg Paul Nicholls Harry Cobden Never involved in the Pertemps at Cheltenham in March but he had been progressive around 3m prior to that, winning twice last winter. Cheekpieces added. Could have more to come for top stable.

6 DOCTOR DUFFY (IRE) (30) v 962113F58-2 8 11-2 | 70.8kg Charles Byrnes, Ireland Adam Wedge Very useful chaser in first half of last season. Shaped as if retaining ability when 6 lengths second over hurdles at Thurles on his reappearance and can be made to look well treated on chase form.

7 ORBYS LEGEND (IRE) (42) 982131-1 5 11-1 | 70.3kg

Philip Hobbs Ben Jones Quickly made up into useful novice at 2m last term and took it up another notch when seeing off 16 rivals to land Silver Trophy on 19.5f Chepstow return. Stamina isn’t assured but surely more to come.

8 DIDTHEYLEAVEUOUTTO (IRE) (16) 980FF/F24-22 8 10-13 | 69.4kg Nick Gifford K. Brogan (3lb/1kg) Has returned in cracking form, finishing with a flourish for second to Orbys Legend in Silver Trophy before proving himself at 3m when chasing home Stoney Mountain at Newbury. Thereabouts.

9 DANS LE VENT (FR) (35) 98U2/14482-2 8 10-12 | 68.9kg Evan Williams Isabel Williams (5lb/2kg) Second in valuable 2½m handicap at Aintree Grand National meeting on final start last term and just as good when runner-up in 2m Welsh Champion Hurdle on return. Placed over 3m earlier in career.

10 FLIGHT DECK (IRE) (38) (D) s 1001/F14-1 7 10-10 | 68.0kg Jonjo O’Neill Jonjo O’Neill Jr. Made it 3-4 in handicap hurdles when seeing off 7 rivals on his 3m Wetherby reappearance with cheekpieces added (retained). The second/third both ran well next time. 3 lb rise may not stop him.

11 MARTINHAL (IRE) (246) t 981/44110- 6 10-9 | 67.6kg

David Pipe Richard Patrick Won maiden/novice hurdles on heavy at Exeter last winter. Bombed out in Martin Pipe at Cheltenham on final start but he returns as an unexposed sort for a yard which knows what it takes to win this.

12 BASS ROCK (FR) (20) t 975/22321-1 5 10-7 | 66.7kg Sandy Thomson Ryan Mania It’s all clicked with him since switched to handicaps/fitted with a tongue tie, winning at Ayr in April and following up in clear-cut fashion on Carlisle return (2½m) 3 weeks ago. May do better again.

13 GLADIATEUR ALLEN (FR) (23) (BF) 9923163-3 5 10-6 | 66.2kg Mrs Jane Williams Chester Williams (3lb/1kg) Ascot novice winner last term and third in EBF Final at Sandown in March. Faded into remote third on 3m Ffos Las return but perhaps fitness was more the reason as connections happy to stick at 3m.

14 WINNINGSEVERYTHING (IRE) (27) t 9811/F7-44 7 10-5 | 65.8kg

Harry Fry Lorcan Murtagh (3lb/1kg) Lightly raced since scoring twice in 2019 but his 2 handicap fourths this season have been creditable. Will need a bit more if he’s to take this but low-mileage profile provides hope.

15 RIGGS (IRE) (27) 992/61322F-5 6 10-4 | 65.3kg Dan Skelton Harry Skelton Won 2½m Uttoxeter handicap a year ago and back on the up when second (Gladiateur Allen third) in EBF Final in March. Caught too far back on Aintree return, shaping nicely under circumstances. Player.

16 RIGHTPLACERIGHTIME (IRE) (18) (D) 9906P6-0241 6 10-2 | 64.4kg

Emmet Mullins, Ireland Harry Kimber (7lb/3kg) Having only third run for this trainer when taking 3m Fairyhouse maiden chase 18 days ago. Did that comfortably and has to be of interest back hurdling for yard which did so well in Britain last term.

16 DECLARED RUNNERS

BETTING FORECAST:7-1 Orbys Legend, 10-1 Rightplacerightime, 10-1 Bass Rock, 11-1 Riggs, 12-1 Flight Deck, 12-1 Didtheyleaveuoutto, 12-1 Stoney Mountain, 14-1 If The Cap Fits, 16-1 Brinkley, 16-1 Dans Le Vent, 22-1 Gladiateur Allen, 22-1 Winningseverything, 22-1 Doctor Duffy, 25-1 Ask Dillon, 25-1 Martinhal, 28-1 Storm Arising

TIMEFORM VIEW:FLIGHT DECK left the impression he was always doing enough in first-time cheekpieces when seeing off a couple of solid yardsticks at Wetherby last month and could still be well treated off 3 lb higher. Riggs should be spot on for this after his Aintree return, while Silver Trophy winner Orbys Legend looks sure to have a big say if his stamina holds. Rightplacerightime completes the shortlist.

RACE 5

Page 7: Saturday 20th November HAYDOCK - timeform.com

Going: Good to Soft (Good in places Hurdles course)

Left handed, flat. Conditions are often gruelling during winter, placing emphasis on stamina. Conversely, conditions at the Swinton Meeting in May usually place the emphasis on speed, with a tendency to favour those ridden prominently as a result. Formerly held an undeserved reputation as one of the hardest courses to jump around, something not backed up by statistics, though perversely the data suggests that the chase course nowadays is a more demanding test, that possibly on account of more races being well run.

Pace Information: Very Weak

1 A PLUS TARD (FR) (246) t 1003213/212- 7 11-7 | 73.0kg Henry de Bromhead, Ireland Rachael Blackmore Top-class Irish chaser who bagged Grade 1 Savills Chase at Leopardstown before fine second in Cheltenham Gold Cup last term. Fluent jumper. Yard among the winners, so he’s very much the one to beat.

2 BRISTOL DE MAI (FR) (224) (CD) 96229/12P- 10 11-7 | 73.0kg Nigel Twiston-Davies Daryl Jacob Likeable grey who landed this event for the third time in 4 years 12 months ago with a typically brave front-running display. Hails from an in-form yard too, so he must enter calculations once more.

3 CHATHAM STREET LAD (IRE) (41) 901511341-7 9 11-7 | 73.0kg Michael Winters, Ireland Sean Quinlan Made up into a very smart chaser last term when bagging four wins. Only seventh in 3m Limerick handicap on his seasonal return though and he has lots to find on form here.

4 CLONDAW CASTLE (IRE) (21) 891/213212-3 9 11-7 | 73.0kg Tom George Jonathan Burke Progressed well last term and signed off with good second in Betway Bowl at Aintree. Not disgraced when third in Charlie Hall at Wetherby on his return but this demands a clear personal best.

5 IMPERIAL AURA (IRE) (247) t 931221/11UP- 8 11-7 | 73.0kg Kim Bailey David Bass Looked a top-class chaser in making when emphatic winner in Grade 2 at Ascot 12 months ago but pulled up in Ryanair at Cheltenham (bled). Back after a wind op, so no surprise to see him bounce back.

6 NEXT DESTINATION (IRE) (249) s 912112- 9 11-7 | 73.0kg Paul Nicholls Harry Cobden Grade 1 hurdler who quickly made a big impact chasing for his new yard, winning twice before runner-up in National Hunt Chase at Cheltenham. Cheekpieces on. Has more to offer, and needs considering.

7 ROYALE PAGAILLE (FR) (246) (C) 9423/1116- 7 11-7 | 73.0kg Venetia Williams Charlie Deutsch Made massive strides last season and scored most impressively here in Peter Marsh. Didn’t jump so well as usual when below-par sixth in Cheltenham Gold Cup and his best form has come in the mud too.

8 WAITING PATIENTLY (IRE) (226) (C) s 953/23P- 10 11-7 | 73.0kg Christian Williams Brian Hughes Top-class chaser in 2018, but winless since and he didn’t prove so good last term, pulled up in Aintree’s Betway Bowl on his final start. Not discounted though if yard switch sparks a revival.

BETTING FORECAST:evens A Plus Tard, 5-1 Bristol De Mai, 9-1 Next Destination, 11-1 Royale Pagaille, 14-1 Waiting Patiently, 14-1 Imperial Aura, 40-1 bar

TIMEFORM VIEW:A PLUS TARD holds a clear edge on form and is fancied to become the first Irish-trained victor of this Grade 1 and thwart Bristol de Mai’s bid for a record-equalling fourth success. Nigel Twiston-Davies has his string in great nick though, so his course specialist seems sure to push Henry de Bromhead’s Gold Cup runner-up close. Next Destination and Imperial Aura look the pick of the rest.

1 RAMSES DE TEILLEE (FR) (41) (C) t 990/517049-3 9 12-2 | 77.1kg

David Pipe Fergus Gillard (3lb/1kg) Smart handicap chaser who signed off last season with a couple of respectable efforts. Probably needed the outing over the smaller obstacles on reappearance last month so enters calculations.

2 FIDUX (FR) (42) 99416-30146 8 11-12 | 75.3kg Alan King Sean Houlihan (3lb/1kg) Likeable type who wasted no time getting back on track eased in class when forging clear in good style at Worcester in June. Well beaten on both starts since so others make more appeal.

3 EMPIRE STEEL (IRE) (225) 9713/121P- 7 11-9 | 73.9kg Sandy Thomson Ryan Mania Hurdles winner who improved for the switch to chasing, doubling his tally in this sphere at Kelso in February. Run best excused at Aintree and should play a part if fully tuned up for reappearance.

4 MR MULDOON (IRE) (35) s 98321/1414-8 8 11-7 | 73.0kg Dr Richard Newland Charlie Hammond Progressive over hurdles and made it 2-3 over fences when easy winner of a 4-runner Sedgefield handicap in March. However disappointed next start and never in much of a rhythm on his comeback run.

5 POTTERS CORNER (IRE) (8) (D) 9211/37PP-76 11 11-6 | 72.6kg Christian Williams Adam Wedge Won the 2019 Midlands National and Welsh National but not so productive last season after a third in this on return. Better signs in cross-country event at Cheltenham last time but more needed.

6 JOKE DANCER (22) (C) s 993FP/7610-5 8 11-3 | 71.2kg Sue Smith Sean Quinlan Good strike rate over hurdles and 3-10 in this sphere. Seems harder to train nowadays and went as if better for the run at Wetherby last month. Needs this significant step up in trip to eke out more.

7 STRICTLYADANCER (IRE) (7) 1001234-8511 7 10-5 | 65.8kg Christian Williams Jack Tudor (3lb/1kg) Landed 17-runner event at Cheltenham last month and improved further as he followed up there 7 days ago, staying on well. A bold bid for the hat-trick is all but certain with more progress to come.

7 DECLARED RUNNERS

BETTING FORECAST:13-8 Strictlyadancer, 9-2 Empire Steel, 11-2 Ramses De Teillee, 10-1 Fidux, 10-1 Potters Corner, 14-1 Mr Muldoon, 16-1 Joke Dancer

TIMEFORM VIEW:STRICTLYADANCER is in fine heart at present and gets the vote to score again having landed consecutive Cheltenham victories in recent weeks. With further improvement on the cards, a bold bid for the hat-trick is all but certain. The main danger could be Ramses de Teillee, who was entitled to need his reappearance effort over timber last month, ahead of Empire Steel.
