It’s been a great (but hot and dry) Summer with plenty happening around town and in the Club. Although the weather will start to cool down in coming months, the action certainly isn’t slowing down at Macksville Ex-Services Club! This season we host a huge line up of high quality tribute shows; The Country Superstars Tribute Show on Saturday 10 March, Neil Diamond – The Man, The Music Tribute on Saturday 7 April and get your tickets early for Jason Owen sings John Denver on Friday 8 June.ANZAC Day is upon us again and 2018 is the final year in the Centenary commemorations, marking Australia’s involvement in the First World War. We encourage everyone to take part in a service and pay respects to those who gave up so much so that we may enjoy our freedom.And this is the place to be if you’re a kid over the coming months with a Wildlife Show coming up in April as well as TWO Smileys shows – Easter Bunny show with an egg hunt and a new Paw Patrol show!There is also a special fundraiser being held at the Club on Saturday 5 May for little Jude Ross who needs a bone marrow transplant – see details inside. We look forward to seeing you in the Club very soon!

High Tea is a fun (and yummy!) way to celebrate an event with the ladies or as a twist on a traditional wedding or engagement party. At Macksville Ex-Services Club we use the finest china, colourful table settings tailored to your theme with a choice of floral arrangement or balloon centrepieces included in your package. Packages start at $20 per person for a basic high tea service which includes finger sandwiches, assortment of sweets and cakes, scones with jam and cream as well as tea and coffee. You can upgrade your high tea package to our deluxe options which includes the above plus your choice from a range of hot and cold canapes, pastries, as well as fruit and cheese platters. Deluxe options start at just $1.50 per person. From baby showers, engagement parties, fundraisers or just an excuse for friends to catch up, talk to our friendly team about planning a high tea for your upcoming event.

Pre-Mother’s Day Market & Karly Lane Book LaunchSunday 6 May, 11am-2pmIt’s that time of the year again, for our Pre-Mother’s Day market and book launch with Karly Lane. Karly has been very busy finishing her most recent book, ‘Someone Like You’, written with warmth and humour, Someone Like You is an intriguing, funny and romantic story about past loves and new beginnings – perfect gift for mum! There will be other stalls in the Club on the day and any market stall holders who would like to be involved can apply at Reception.

Awesome Feedback!We are very proud of our amazing team but it’s always fantastic to hear how much our customers appreciate their hard work too. We recently received this lovely testimonial from Emma Marlow – Thanks Emma and well done team!Our family is holidaying in Macksville and I decided to make a reservation for the steak night, along with my parents (who are local!) Holy moly what a beautiful meal!! Honestly the BEST steak I’ve had in YEARS!! We had 4 steaks and they were all cooked perfectly! Chips were plentiful and crunchy (awesome chips!) salad was fresh and crisp. My kids shared a meat lovers pizza and it was delicious! Steaks were only $20 with a sauce - that’s CRAZY!! All other prices were cheap in our eyes, definitely makes family dining much more affordable! All staff were so welcoming and friendly. We had been in earlier in the week to the cafe (after Zumba Gold with Cheryl!) and both milkshakes we ordered were yummo! Family friendly, super clean and lovely decor - it was a very pleasant evening! Only dilemma is having to choose to either come back for schnitzel night or go get another amazing steak!! Needless to say my parents will now be regulars!! Well done!!

Aaron is delighted to be taking over from his father and bringing the wildlife shows to Australians everywhere!
