SYSTEMS> Satech started business in 2000

with the sole aim of providing the

means for customers to achieve Safety

compliance with EN ISO regulations

in the workplace.

From its site in Calco (LC) (which is

in excess of 8000 sqm), the Company

is one of the market leaders in Europe

for modular protection systems for

industrial machinery.

Satech’s exclusive patents

concerning assembling systems and

the development of special design

software go well beyond the simple

concept of machinery protection,

because Satech has the capability

to transform customers’ specifi c

requirements into projects and to

meet the requirements of those who

appreciate that safety is not just a

legal duty, but can also add value to

production levels and quality.

As Satech’s technical department

is exclusively devoted to projects

for industrial areas, we are able

to meet the customers’ individual

requirements with customized

proposals for different business

sectors and apply technologies

resulting from our experience and

our ongoing research and product

development.

The continuing development of

assembly systems allows Satech to

propose optimal solutions for the

most critical conditions, always

derived from the structured model

of the “Modular Panel” to keep

costs controlled in providing

a complex system of modular

guarding.

investment in software for 3D

automatic design of modular

guards. This allows for the

optimization of the selection of

modules and a 3D drawing that

is immediately understood by

assemblers.

ASSEMBLERS EDUCATION

> In order to ensure a complete and total

service to customers, Satech give particolar

attention to education and support for the

assemblers. Our education and support plan

is provided for assemblers of the guarding

systems and includes theoretic teaching and

practical assembly tests of the main parts,

such as doors, safety switches and locks. It

also provides a clear overview of the plant

based on 3D layout.

ASSEMBLING SERVICE

> Satech are also able to provide an

assembly service for their customers, through

a network of approved assembly teams. The

operators of the assembly teams are trained

in our tecnical centre where we have a

specifi c area equipped with the full range of

products for full-scale assembly.

> Thanks to the partnership with

CONSULTING and SERVICE companies

Satech is now able to certify industrial

plants and the machinery according to

the relevant safety standards.

In order to meet the requests that come

from the market for some time, Satech

has expanded its range of proposals

with consulting services concerning the

safety of machines, of industrial plants

and of workplaces. Satech is now able to

offer a 360-degree service in corporate

safety, certifying not only their products

but also machines and industrial plants

CAPTIVE FASTENING FOR BASIC AND STRONG PROTECTION SYSTEMS

> The captive fastening applied to Basic and

Strong systems consists of a clip using to

a special screw and a suitable captive nut

together. The clip also can slide along the

upright but can not be separated from it.

CAPTIVE FASTENING FOR GREEN FAST PROTECTION SYSTEM

> The introduction of a special screw and

a suitable nut for clamping the baseplate

holding the panels, like the adoption of a

special coupling pressing that maintains the

position of the upper mating spring ensures

the captiveness of the fi xing systems.

CAPTIVE FASTENING FOR MDF AND BASIC PROTECTION SYSTEM

> Satech owns a patent that allows in

a simple and economic way to get the

captiveness of the connection elements

(screw and nut) when proceeding to

disassemble the panel from its upright.

> The particular design of Satech mesh allows to achieve compliance

with current regulations as well as providing great visibility of the

protected plants. It’s really important for operators to have no visual

hindrances during the inspection of production processes (EN 953-5.2.4,

5.10, 5.12). The external vertical wires create the optimal hindrance

against climbing (EN 953-7.1), while the dimension of meshes allows the

installation at only 120 mm. from the dangerous area (EN ISO 13857).

Technical specifi cations:

Lock with sliding multifunction mechanic

clutch, command handle, multifunction

anti-panic handle (mechanical release

– simultaneous electrical), 4th category

interlocked micro system. This lock allows

both mechanical and electrical emergency

release with a single operation. It does not

require additional safety switches for 4th

unauthorized personnel by means of a key.

HINGE MICRO SWITCH

Now Satech offer a safety system with micro switch applied directly on the

hinges of leaf doors. This system is very easy to mount, very sensitive and safe

and is installed in a position protected from damages owing to accidental impacts.

CABLE DUCT SUPPORT

The particular cable duct support allows the immediate direct anchoring of the cable

duct to the upright (Basic or Strong) without special brackets. The system offers:

- fast insert into the upright.

- Anchoring to the cable duct with screws of standard brackets supplied with cable ducts.

UNIVERSAL BRACKETS FOR MICRO SWITCHES

> SATECH has designed and produced a universal supporting system for safety

micro switches allowing an easy and fast assembling of all the most usual safety

micro switches on all standard doors. That avoids the expensive adjustment of

supports to the models of different manufacturers.

SUPPORT STRUTS

In case of horizontal dynamic loads due to large doors or of unfavourable positions

in the protection lay-out, the uprights of the Basic and Strong Series can be

stiffened by support struts to obtain a very convenient solution assuring a

considerable stabilizing action.

DOORS WITH MICROSWITCHES

In order to take samples on line for a process statistical control, Satech design

and produce built-in openings in standard panels allowing a simple and totally

safe operation. Design is based on Satech’s tested standard systems assuring

safety and easy operation. 400x400 and 600x600 are available.

KICK PLATE

The particular shaped kick plate allows an extremely fast and stable assembling

on each module and panel type of Satech’s protection modular systems. The

stout structure prevents the outlet (or inlet) of potentially dangerous materials

through the usually free space between panel and fl oor.

CUTTING KIT

These systems are indicated for a fast and easy adaptation of Satech’s standard

panels in unforeseen assembling situations or when there is a need to change the

size of the protections over time.

ADJUSTABLE BASEPLATES AND SHIMS

Those two accessories represent a solution to adjust the support of the uprights

on the ground leveling the defects of the industrial fl oors, or the adjustment of the

fl oor slope imposed by the requirements of liquid collection.

VARIABLE ANGLE JOINT

This accessory is designed to allow the junction between panels and uprights with

different angles varying from 90° directly during the installation phase.

REINFORCED LINEAR JOINT

This accessory allows to obtain a better horizontal stiffness when joining two panels

without the provision of the upright. Practical and fast to lay.
