Spring is in the air! e season change brings about a certain buoyancy in everything we do. I personally love this season, most of us, turn our homes upside down with spring cleaning, we must also do this in our work. Let’s use this period to renew and rejuvenate in order to increase efficiency. I have been challenging myself and the management team regarding our improving our operational efficiency. In order to get to high performance you need to ensure that your basics are functioning at a premium level. I got a note in the suggestion box which was talking in essence about efficiency and I would like to commend the writer on the points raised as they were presented in a structural constructive manner. ere were a couple of issues raised and I will tackle them in the forthcoming newsletters. One of the questions was regarding a particular management style. As much as we would all like to have a standard way of engaging, as individuals, we have unique dispositions and at times what someone else might be agreeable with, may not suit the next person. However the SAS culture is one that promotes being approachable, being customer driven, being swiſt and agile, innovative and trustworthy. I have engaged my management team to assess themselves in relation to living the SAS values and to engage their teams to do the same. I also ask you to do the same . Our values are our DNA, let’s all ensure that we are displaying and living the SAS values. P.S. Remember to take some time every day to appreciate the little things.
