An Olympic Legacy“The most enduring legacy of the Olympics will be the regeneration of an entire community for the direct benefit of everyone who lives there”
How do the park currently ta lk about health? The overwhelming message was about physical health and exercise
What is health?Health is a broad and diverse topic –how can urban spaces help encourage people to act in healthier ways to boost not only physical but mental and social health
Types of research: Diary study
Diary Study
Local residents report their healthy behaviour in the area over 10 consecutive days in an online diary

How can we help solve these challenges to encourage healthy behaviour in the park?
A tailored digital social feed for local residents over the age of 50 who may be suffering from social isolation.
Motivating residents to be more active by rewarding healthy activity with points that gain you vouchers for high street brands or charitable donations.
A digital platform that provides users with the ability to find and book sporting activities combined with a social feed that enables people to interact with each other and find new partners to play with.
A real time digital map that provides a platform to create user-friendly maps that will help improve mapping and data visualisation across the park.

Learnings
Health means different things to different people
Finding the right people to talk to in diverse communities isn’t easy
Doing research online can be a barrier for some people
“and now for something completely different…”
