This is the Ariba Business Netw ork for supplier collaboration and Ariba Procurem ent Content in the area

of Requisitions.

S A P S /4H A N A is not a single product.

Custom ers can start with the basics com ponents and add to them later. S /4H A N A Enterprise

M an ag em en t is a great place to start. This is known as the “simplified core". Perhaps it might help to

think of S /4H A N A Enterprise M an ag em en t as the rep lacem ent for S A P E R P . H ere w e find support for

all core business processes, such as order to cash, procure to pay etc. For m any custom ers this is

w h ere their S /4H A N A adoption begins.

S eam lessly integrated with the core w e find S A P S /4H A N A Lines of Business (LoB) solutions.

T h ese are options that can be added at any tim e and provide best-in-class lines of business

solutions and connections to S A P Business Networks.

In the past w e had multiple add-on applications surrounding a core (for exam ple S A P E R P , S A P C R M

and S A P S R M ), but with overlapping m odels and much redundancy. Now overlaps and redundancy

have been com pletely rem oved from S A P S /4H A N A .

And don’t forget that S A P S /4H A N A is built natively and optim ally to run only on the SA P H AN A

platform.

Let’s highlight the most im portant aspects of S A P S /4H A N A and w hat m akes it very different from w hat

w e had before. W e will then drill down on individual topics in later slides.

First of all S A P S /4H A N A is built on S A P H A N A and so w e inherit all the capabilities of this

powerful data m an ag em en t and application platform. This includes advanced text mining,

predictive analysis, simulations and powerful real tim e decision support.

A brand new user experience is delivered to im prove the productivity and satisfaction of business users

and brings the interface up to a consum er-grade experience on any devices.

S A P S /4H A N A can be deployed on prem ise or in the cloud or a com bination of both to provide

flexible options to custom ers.

T h e data model has been m assively simplified. This m eans w e lost unnecessary tables and of

course the data in those tables in order to shrink the footprint dram atically and simplify the

application design and extensibility.
