Purpose
The purpose of this document is to highlight the installation process for Sybase ASE Tool DBiSQL since there are instances on new SAP System releases with Sybase ASE that DBiSQL is missing.
Scope
The scope of this is mainly on any release of SAP NetWeaver Release 701-702 and 711-720 only.
Target Audience
The target audience of this document is for SAP Administrator and IT Administrator.
Scenario1After system installation with Sybase ASE on new SAP Product Releases, there are times that DBiSQL is missing.
Procedure1Navigate to the Sybase ASE installer and look for the setup executable.
Double-click to start the installation.
2Click Next
3Click Next
4Click Next
5Choose Custom
Click Next
6Un-check all the default checks.
7Leave only the Interactive SQL checked.
Click Next
8Leave the default choice.
Click Next
9Select Location and choose the radio button agreeing on the license terms
Click Next
10Leave default.
Click Next
11Leave default.
Click Next
12Click Install
13Installation in-progress
14Do not check anything.
Click Next
15Installation Completed.
Click Done
16Check and verify DBiSQL if it has been installed successfully.
17Since Im currently not login as sybsid, will run DBiSQL using runas command
18Enter Password

20Connected.
