MVP pH & Temperature ProbesMVP pH/Temp Probe ISFET (Ion Sensitive Field

Effect Transistor) Technology Non-glass, ideal for in-plant

usage Non-breakable 3 buffer calibration

MVP Temperature Probe Stainless steel standard

thermometer -20°C to 105° C Single point calibration

MVP Conductivity Probe Measures both conductivity and

concentration

What is Conductivity? Conductivity is the measurement of the electrolytes in a

solution.

The conductivity Probe contains a sensor with two metal electrodes that are exactly 1.0 cm apart and protrude into the liquid sample. A constant voltage is applied across the electrodes. An electrical current flows through the sample due to this voltage and is proportional to the concentration of dissolved ions in the water - the more ions, the more conductive resulting in a higher electrical current.

What is Concentration? Concentration is the measure of how much of a given

substance there is mixed with another substance.

Conductivity is directly proportional to the chemical concentration in liquids.

It is a more accurate measurement of chemical concentration then chemical strips or titration.

MVP Conductivity Probe Measures both conductivity and concentration

0-100,000 microSiemens (S) 10-200,000 parts-per-million (ppm)

Concentration parameter reads sanitizers and cleansers Measures temperature (0° C – 100° C) Specifications:

4-graphite electrode cell design, epoxy body Single calibration point Automatic temperature compensation

MVP Conductivity Probe Calibration Before use the MVP must be calibrated close (within +/-

20-50%) to the expected value of the sample for both conductivity and concentration/ppm.

Conductivity: Take reading of sample. Purchase conductivity standard closest to that value and recalibrate.

Concentration/ppm: Take reading of water blank (from source that will be used to dilute chemicals). Purchase conductivity standard closes to that value and recalibrate.

Establishing Test Points for MVP Conductivity/PPM Conductivity

• Establish test point names

Concentration/ppm: • Establish chemical standards (up to 99)

• These are standards against which each concentration/ppm reading will be compared

• I.e. Quats at 200 ppm; Quats at 400 ppm; Quats at 800 ppm, etc.• Measure water blank and “ideal chemical standard” to calibrate

• Establish test point names

What is LIGHTNING MVP?Unique multi-parametric system to

monitor and validate both:

Cleaning and sanitation effectiveness• ATP (surface and liquids/CIP)• Concentration (ppm) of sanitizers

and cleansers

HACCP process controls • pH• Temperature• Conductivity

Why multiple parameters? Single method for monitoring both sanitation and HACCP

Consistency of data and test methods Data centralized allowing analysis and trending of multiple

parameters for expanded insight into processes

Accuracy of results All data automatically logged Single-step upload to PC

Cost savings Single instrument purchase One unit to maintain and handle

LIGHTNING MVP System System contains four integral components
