SOHL CEO Rounds presents: Steve O’Kane, CEO of Council of Community ClinicsDecember 12, 2013 ● 5:30pm-7:30pmLocation: DPR Construction Healthcare organizations exist to serve the communities in which they reside. Though community health has always been a focus for these organizations, new regulations require them to take an active role. The health of a community or geographic population has a critical impact on a healthcare organization’s planning, operations, financial sustainability, outcomes and success. Community clinics serve the needs of many in our cities, including our most vulnerable populations. Steve O’Kane, CEO of the Council of Community Clinics (CCC) will present on how his organization and its members are meeting the need of San Diego County. The CCC represents and advocates on behalf of health centers in their endeavors to deliver quality care. It supports its members through fund development, technical assistance, and emergency preparedness as well. Joining Steve will be Kevin Mattson, CEO of San Ysidro Health Center, and Jim Schultz, MD, CMO of Neighborhood Healthcare. They will discuss issues relevant to community health centers, such as the impact of healthcare reform on clinics and their patients. This program has been developed and is presented locally by SOHL. The American College of Healthcare Executives has awarded 1.5 ACHE Face-to-Face Education Credits to this program. Moderator: Nick Macchione, Director
