Samuel M. Mati holds a Masters of Arts in Organizational Leadership at Africa International University, a Bachelor of Science Degree in statistics from Kenyatta University, a Facilitator Certification from ICTHUS College and a Certificate in the Management of Development Programmes from IRMA India. He also has certificates in Designing, Monitoring and evaluation of programmes and projects, Sustainable/Transformed Livelihoods Approaches, Community Managed Disaster Risk Reduction (CMDRR), HIV and AIDS Programming and Risk based approaches.

Mati has vast experience in designing, monitoring and evaluation of programmes and projects, coordinating/managing development programmes, networking with different government and non-governmental organizations, policy influencing and advocacy, disaster management and response as well as organizational and institutional building that spans for a period of over 18 years both at the local, regional and national level.

o Built the capacities of staff and CBO coordinators through which over 15 CBOs transformed to become credible local NGOs.
