    Step 1

    Check for Child Lock icon

    Check Ice Type/Water Key.

    - If it is normal Inspect Tip 1-2 - If it is abnormal Inspect Step 2

    Step 2

    Check PANEL PBA WIRE HARNESS

    Pin connection / switching - Inspection of 1~5Wire

    Verify that the wires are in the correct order in the connector

    Disassemble the HINGE-UPP COVER, check the WIRE HARNESS Pin connection/switching connection and verify the correct sequence - Inspect BLK / BRN / RED / ORG / YEL Wire

    Step 3

    Disassemble Main PBA Cover in the back

    Inspect CN50 ~Wire Pin contacting and

    switching - BLK / BRN / RED / ORG / YEL Verify that the wires are in

    the correct order in the connector

    If there is no problem on all, - Replace the PANEL PBA

    Check Point Check the Ice Type/Water Key selecting operation.

    Tip 1-1. Inspect Display Ice Type / Water selecting

    Step 1 Push the DISPENSER LEVER to check Auger

    Motor rotating sound. Auger motor is in the Ice Room. - If No operation sound, go to Step 2 inspection - If operation sound, go to Step 4 inspection

    Step 2 Check Auger Motor S/W that is on the top

    of Left FF Section Door. - Inspect S/W with F room door closed

    Using an Ohmmeter, check for0 with the S/W plunger pushed in by hand. If the door S/W has failed, the auger motor cannot work.

    Step 3 Disassemble the Display and check the Micro

    LED S/W, located at the back of the Lever. (Check for broken or stuck switches)

    When there is no problem found, Disassemble HINGE-UPP COVER, and check

    the WIRE HARNESS connection - Inspect CONNECTOR No.7(BLU)+No.15(GRY)

    Inspect Main PBA Connector - Inspect CN50 No.5(YEL) and No.7(BLU) Wire

    Check Point Inspect the Dispenser Lever S/W operation.

    Step 3 (COVER ICE ROUTE S/W failure)

    When COVER open as failure of operation

    Inspect the CONNECTOR OPEN

    Inspect the MOTOR S/W TOUCH failure

    - Rotate continuously when both 2 S/W are not pushed

    Inspect BLUE / WHITE S/W exchanging

    Replace ASSY CASE-LEVER DISP .

    Step 1

    Remove the Ice bucket in ice room Remove 2 screws as shown

    Remove the ice maker after pulling the

    cooling pipe which is in the bottom of ice maker.

    Step 2

    Remove the Auger Motor and inspect the

    Motor - Normal = GRY+BLK 3~5 - Defective = Open or 0

    Step 3

    Inspect the Main PBA + CONNECTOR Wire

    - CN73 No.3(PNK) + CN70 No.5(RED)

    Check Point Inspect the Auger Motor .

    Tip 1-3. Inspect ASSY Auger Motor operation

    Step 1 Select Water, then check the water

    dispensing when pressing lever. - When there is no water dispensing Check Step 2 - When the water is dispensing check TIP 2-4

    Step 2 (Connection problem-Hose kinked)

    Inspect connection between external tap and

    the product - Check if it is connected to water supply - Check if the tap is closed.

    Check for kinked Water supply line

    Step 3 (Piercing Valve )

    Check for water with piercing valve open and

    supply hose disconnected. (Piercing valves are not recommended)

    Step 4 (Filter Case problem)

    Remove Water Filter and check dispensing.

    If water dispenses ,try a new filter. If water does not dispense with new filter, replace the Filter Case.

    Step 5

    Minimum water supply pressure should be

    20 PSI. If pressure is low due to external filter

    (reverse osmosis) remove internal filter.

    Check Point Inspect Water supplying failure

    Tip 2-1. Inspect water connection/supplying

    Before first use and after filter replacement, dispense water for 3 min

    ice.

    If no ice, Enter After PANEL PBA Energy Saver+Alarm Key and touch LED Blink Fridge Key.

    In the case of FF-Display Yellow Blink - Recognized Ice Bucket Full Check STEP 2 - When there is no Blink Check Tip 2-3

    Inspect the YEL 16-PIN CONNECTOR

    Step 1

    Dispense water with pushing WATER LEVER.

    - Inspect supplying water pressure problem - Inspect CASE-FILTER problem

    Step 2

    Check the hose quake sound at the back

    during operation of WATER LEVER.

    Improve supplying water pressure with adjusting water pipe VALVE.

    Step 3

    HOSE quake continuously even adjust water

    pipe valve

    Disassemble FILTER. - Replace Filter Case when hose does not shake after dispensing water from disassemble FILTER.

    Tip 9-2. Inspect cooling power ( Must select Power Freeze first)

    Do not off the power Measure self-diagnosis test inspection onTIP 2-4

    Step 1 Touch Display Energy Saver+ Alarm Key for 8 sec at the same time. - Touch it until dingdong sound occur after all LEDs blink. When Error appears Move to TIP 2-4 -No problem Inspect Step 2

    Step 2 (Comp Operation inspection)

    Touch Display Freezer for 3set to make

    Power Freeze. Setting temperature satisfaction and defrost performance Comp Off. (If the COMP operate again, off as 8 min. and operate it)

    Inspect the operation of backside Comp. (Check operation condition using hand touching Comp) - If the Comp doesnt operate See Step 3 - If the Comp operate Inspect Step 6

    Step 3 (Inspect Comp Wire )

    Inspect the Backside Unit left-side Comp

    Wire Connector assembly problem

    Step 4 (Comp single product operation failure)

    Inspect rotating failure by Comp Coil cutting wire - Check U(BLU), V(PRP), W(BLK) order Measure U-V, V-W, U-W resistance. Normal : 11~12

    Inspect power supplying line Comp operation condition Normal: AC 100~125 V - Failure: AC voltage non applying(Inspect power line)

    Inspect Comp OLP(Over Load Protection) - Normal: Electro 0~1

    Step 6 (Gas Leak failure)

    If Comp Working Comp-dome & Pipe-Condenser temperature is not high, it is failure of as Leak & Clogged repair Cycle Shield system

    Step 4 (In the case of C-Fan failure) When C-Fan operation or FG Signal failure,

    Comp stops after 60 min.. Must check FG failure through self diagnosis test even the Fan is rotating.

    Step 1 Touch the Display Energy Saver+Alarm Key for 8 sec at the same time until DingDong sound occur When Error Measure it to move TIP 5-1. -No ERROR, or 25 E(R DEFROST ERROR) Check Step2

    Step 2 (Bimetal / HEATER OPEN)

    Inspect BIMETAL (RED+BLK) Open Change the parts - Normal: 0, Failure: OPEN

    Measure Heater (BRN+BRN)resistance Replace Heater - Normal : 90~115, - failure : Open & 0

    Before power off, operate self-diagnosis test on TIP 5-1 first. Must check forced defrost operation after defrost repairing.

    Freezing occurs on all EVAP

    Step 3 (DEFROST SENSOR)

    No freezing on the bottom of EVAP +

    DEFROST SENSOR is being ice.

    Inspect and replace DEFROST SENSOR open.

    Step 4 (DEFROST SENSOR sensing location problem)

    No freezing on the bottom of EVAP, EVAP top

    +DEFROST SENSOR part dont have freezing

    Move the location of DEFROST SENSOR to freezing part.

    Step 6 (HEATER location problem)

    When freeze only EVAP BOTTOM - Improve DRAIN freezing.

    Check the drain hole blocking with remove freezing using STEAMER. (Remove DRAIN freezing and foreign substance)

    DRAIN FIXER should be on CENTER.

    Bending the HEATER into Bottom using hand. - DRAIN HOLE should be closed. HEATER can not contact to PLATE.

    Step 7 (Total inspection after defrost repairing) Check the HEATER operation with forced

    defrost operation after complete repairing. Touch Energy Saver+Fridge for 8sec at the same time to off ALL LEDs and touch the Fridge key for 4 times to operate rd. Check HEATER(Brown-wire)AC voltage supplying after beep sound appear.

    Off same way if there is no problem.

    No EVAP top freezing + Sensor freezing

    Operate self-diagnosis test on TIP 5-1 first without power off. Must check forced defrost operation after defrost repairing.
