Cuddle �erapy is gaining attention as more people experience the value of this alternative therapy for Alzheimer’s and related dementias. One of the most important bene�ts of Cuddle �erapy is the social interaction and engagement it provides to Residents, o�ering them the opportunity to care for someone else.

According to the Alzheimer’s Association:Activities are appropriate when they are meaningful for a person, and when they respect the person’s age, beliefs, culture, values and life experiences.

Cuddle �erapy is a signi�cantly meaningful activity for Residents who �nd purpose and ful�llment through this interaction.

February is a month packed with holidays and history. And as we settle into the New Year, our emphasis will continue to mirror our pledge of “we dedicate ourselves to the principals of trust, respect and integrity, and pledge to give the best of ourselves to the remarkable people we serve.” This pledge is very genuine and extends beyond our residents to include their entire families. We are looking forward to expanding our family relationships and welcome your thoughts and comments.

We hope that you are planning on joining us for all our February fun including our Valentine’s Day luncheon on Friday, February 14th at 12:00 noon to 1:30 pm. Our Director of Dining Services, Chef Justin Pardo, is planning a very fun and delicious dining experience that will include do-it-yourself dessert decorating of fresh heart-shaped cookies. A bit later in the day, our afternoon Valentine’s Day party at 2:00 pm will feature “A Touch of Elvis and Patsy”– two of our favorite musical entertainers.

From an Engagement perspective, our February activity calendar is overflowing with amazing live entertainment that includes Danny Mac hosting this months “Birthday Bash Party,” “Hump Day Happy Hour” performances featuring Michael Nugent and Ron Collins, and three special appearances by song stylist Donna Lynne. Upcoming outings will include first time “Casino-Cruise” visits to Westgate Resort, SLS, TI, and the Hard Rock Casino. We’ll hop on the Las Vegas Monorail to experience the city’s glitz and glamour from high above the strip, tee up for another season of “Poet’s Putters,” and the “Out-To-Lunch Bunch” will continue their delicious culinary crusades around our beautiful Las Vegas Valley!
