Salsa de Frutas is a simple f ruit topping served on top of ice cream, cake, f lan, pudding or as f illing to rollsor even 'palaman' (spread) to your hot pan de sal or any kind of bread. Salsa de Frutas is not as sweet as af ruit jam, just sweet and chewy enough to enjoy that natural f ruity f lavor.
2-3 cups of any f resh f ruit such as mango, melon, strawberry,etc
¼ cup sugar
1. Finely chop, mash or shred your choice of f ruit.
2. In a pan combine f ruit and sugar. Simmer f or 10 minutes.Remove f rom heat. Allow to cool.
3. Serve on top of vanilla ice cream, or any of your f avorite cake, f lan or pudding.
