How to Make Salsa
Introduction
• Hello, I am going to teach you how to make one kind of salsa, but before I do here are some interesting facts and dates in salsa history.
Salsa History
• Salsa, which is a combination of chilies, tomatoes and other spices, can be traced back to the Aztecs, Mayans, and Incas.
• The Spaniards first encountered tomatoes after their conquest of Mexico in 1519-1521, which marked the beginning of salsa sauce
Salsa History
• Aztec lords combined tomatoes with chili peppers, ground squash seeds and used them mainly as a condiment
• this condiment was called salsa in 1571
• A gentleman from New Orleans was the first person in salsa sauce history to begin manufacturing of salsa in the USA, in the year 1916
Materials
• 3 bunches of spring onions
• 1/2 can or a small can of black olives
• 1 small can of mushrooms
• 2 tomatoes• 1 jar of picante sauce
• Cutting knife or chopper
• Cutting board• bowl• big spoon
Procedure
• Get the materials
• Pour the picante sauce into the bowl
• Chop the ingredients into small pieces on cutting board
• Throw the chopped ingredients into the bowl
• Mix it all together with the spoon
• Refrigerate and then serve with tortilla chips
Ending
• Now you have learned how to make one variation of salsa. You can use salsa for more than just a dip. You can use it like the Aztec lords did, putting it on their meats and fish, or you could put it on salads, make salsa omelets, use it on your sandwiches or anything you want.
