THIRD SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
The Lord is the Judge of the Nations. Ps 7:9 REFLECTION. On Jan 22, 1973 the decision called Roe v Wade, that legalized abortion, was handed down by the US Supreme Court. Today, in churches and on streets all over America, people of all ethnic backgrounds and faiths are praying and protesting that decision. Since that date the lives of nearly 60 million babies have been legally terminated in the womb of their mothers. PRAYER. Lord may all peace loving people unite in prayer for the end of abortion, euthanasia and other forms of unjust treatment throughout the world. Ed Cecil, Respect Life Committee

The Lord will come when we least expect him. Is he
knocking now, asking us to serve as a priest or
religious? (Luke 12:49-53)
Fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time
First Reading: Deuteronomy 18:15-20
Second Reading: 1 Corinthians 7:32-35
Gospel: Mark 1:21-28
Third Sunday in Ordinary Time
First Reading: Jonah 3:1-5, 10
Second Reading: 1 Corinthians 7:29-31
Gospel: Mark 1:14-20
How many times do we have to stumble and fall
before we realize that following God’s ways, and
not our own, leads to happiness and salvation?
Let us not resist the Lord, but answer his call.
“Jesus said to them, “Come after me, and I will
make you fishers of men.” Then they abandoned
their nets and followed him.” Mark 1:17-18
If we truly recognize that all the things we have in life
are gifts from God, would we be able to heed Christ’s
call to give it all up and follow Him?
Do you have a little one you wish to have baptized?
Are you expecting? Please make plans to attend our
next Baptism Parent Preparation Session! Contact
Diane Paske for more information or to register
