Interviewer: Mash Allah! Your shows are well watched these days and stand among the best shows in Pakistan.Would you like to share your success with us? Was it difficult so far? How did this all came up? Was this your dream? Share the story behind.

Sahir: It wasn’t a dream before but now it is and I cannot take the credit or the success of the show alone; there is a team who works behind the shows which includes you and the rest of the people and Mr. Rass Qureshi specially, few other people who work day and night for the show. However, I end up stealing the limelight from all of them because I am the face of the show but the show is successful because everyone else who is in the team, they probably work much harder than I do.

 

Interviewer: TSLS is a huge hit these days. What more viewers can expect from TSLS? What’s going to be next?

Sahir: I don’t known if it’s a huge hit or not but it’s a hit, however we haven’t revealed the one present of it yet but as time passes or proceeds, you will get to see more n more n more from an angle that is not yet visible.

 

Interviewer: Morning Masala is your newly born baby? Do you want to share your vision behind this odd picture of yours?

Sahir: What do you mean by the odd picture? The way I look in Morning Masala?

Interviewer: Yes your looks and they way you carry yourself is different from you other works.

Sahir: So I think that speaks well about my versatility, that I could do that as well. I had a vision when I started it but now we are trying to figure it out where it’s going to go. And as far as my personality is concern, I think that is my personality as well and I guess you get to see more of Sahir Lodhi in Morning Masala than the Sahir Lodhi you see in TSLS or any other shows or rather 50-50 I guess. That Sahir Lodhi lives in me as well… who is very aware of the world. I do wanna talk politics, I do want to be open about my

statements, I don’t want to give my opinion to people, and I do want to listen to what people have to say. I do want to criticize the system logically and with valid reasoning, I do want to talk about everything that matters, matter to people. That’s that side of me.

 

Interviewer: Do you admire any famous personality?

Sahir: Mohammad Ali JinnahM Ali /Cassius ClayJaved Mian DaadNusrat Fateh Ali Khan

 

Interviewer: Do you believe in making ideals?

Sahir: I don’t believe in making ideals because nothing is perfect. Ideal is nothing. It’s very close to what you think but than ideals always break.

 

Interviewer: You are an ideal of millions.

Sahir: God help them. I am a normal person treat me like one. Find flaws in me you will be always content with your choice. Put me on a pedestal and you will find a lot of flaws in me. We make our ideal and we do idol worshiping but God is the only one who should be worshiped. You can only ask God for help. I wish that people don’t consider me as their ideal or idol worship me. Yes! I want them to like me please do give me some space in your heart, but think of me as human as you are.

 

Interviewer: What is the scholarship program you always talk about? How can be benefit from it?

Sahir: It is going to be more organized when the foundation starts running. Obviously, scrutinizes and all the quires are going to be answered when this foundation starts operating in full strength. Schools and Colleges in Pakisatan can admit you with no or fewer fees and it dose not really matter who you are as long as you are eligible for it. You can approach us and get admitted.You can just come to us or go to the website, hopefully you get a hold of us and we would be able to help you. Yes we are fine tuning the process and it will be accessible to everyone in the world.

 

Interviewer: After ‘Bichrain Gay Abb Kaisay’, which I must say was a huge hit. Are you doing any other serial? I am sure you fans want to see more of Sameer. J

Sahir: Yes! That was a huge hit. Yes I am. I am doing a teleflim definitely and I might be doing a serial.

 

Interviewer: Are you doing films? How many? Names? Details? When are they releasing?

Sahir: I am doing three movies. I am still trying to finish one. One is with Hassan Askarai (dastak) and the other one with Shahid Rana (Teray Ishq Main). Teray Ishq Main is 50 present done, some action sequences are left and my dubbing is left. I don’t have further dates.Dastak is there I done know when it is going to start. Another movie on the horizon is “Sub Say Pehlay”. Wouldn’t be able to give you any details on that but we should be filming this in September.

 

Interviewer: Do you have any plans to go Bollywood?

Sahir: I don’t known if bollywood have any plans for me. Let’s see…

 

Interviewer: Is there something you would wish to do again?

Sahir: Where do I start? Lots n lots n lost of things I wish I would do again. Pause!!! I wish… I wish… ummmm… forget about it… pause!!! Oh just!... leave it…

 

Interviewer: What are those things you find yourself doing that you said you’d never do again?

Sahir: Laughs! Again where do I start?? Lots n lots n lots of them but I think it’s a little personal…

 

Interviewer: What are some changes in your society that you have seen in your lifetime?

Sahir: I think the young generation has become more positive. I never thought I will see that.

 

Interviewer: What is one thing that you are proud of and why?

Sahir: I am proud to be a human being. Or sab say bari baat khuda ka banda hun. That’s what I am proud of.

 

Interviewer: What are the goals you are still working towards?

Sahir: I am just working toward being alive. Rest is all going to be achieved if I am there, if I am not there than nothing can be achieved.

 

Interviewer: It’s hard to see Sahir Lodhi at dance parties or red carpets? Why?

Sahir: It not me. It’s absolutely not me. You would find me at a school or a book launch but not at parties – not me.

 

Interviewer: Do you think you can do modeling? What if you are offered modeling?

Sahir: Laughs! I think I’ll have to lose weight then. J But no! I can not do modeling. I don’t think I am model type.

 

Interviewer: Which quality or trait of yours proved most troubling and difficult?

Sahir: My Bravery, and speaking of the truth, no matter what.

 

Interviewer: Which quality or trait of yours proved most beneficial?

Sahir: Again the same.

 

Interviewer: What if you will help everyone, when are they going to help themselves?

Sahir: As soon as they realize that they are the only one who can help themselves. The only person standing between you and success is no one but your own self

 

Interviewer: What do you think it means to be a hero? How is a hero different from a celebrity?

Sahir: I hope the heroin that you work with is not over weight, she has to be very nice looking, very open minded, she should have a good beep to her feet. Also, when the shooting is over for the day she could go and have dinner with me, we go for a walk on the beach, there I end up having coffee with her and we would sit and watch the sun rise. Laughs! Did I answer you question? No! J On the serious note, hero is someone that lives within you. You just have to discover your hero.

 

Interviewer: When people look back at you life, how do you want to be remembered?

Sahir: Exactly like that. I had a good life, I made mistakes, I fumbled but I never was dishonest, I admitted my mistakes, I got up and started running again. I never gave up, fought bravely. I stood by my beliefs, always hoped that God will give me strength throughout my life. I made sure that whatever I do in life I do it with share honesty and integrity. Hence, when I go before God and he asks me… did you finish your task? I should be able to say yes sir indeed I did… yes sir I did…
