Walsh Art Gallery in the QCA Fairfield University and the Depart- ment of Visual and Performing Arts produces and hosts a multitude of lectures, performances, exhibitions, and concerts. The faculty in the Studio Art Program strongly recom- mends all students attend as many of these events as possible. In addition to broadening yourself, attending Uni- versity and Department sponsored events connects you with Visual and Performing Arts students and faculty. = Lectures, exhibitions & other interesting stuff Fall 2013 Semester Sunday Sept 1 • Orientation and Welcome - Class of 2017 • First-year move in 7:30am to 1pm by floors • All Transfer students move in from 8am to 12pm • BCC Dining Hall will open at 4pm Monday Sept 2 • Labor Day - University holiday • Class of 2016: Sophomores move in 8 a.m. to 1pm • Classes of 2015 & 2014: Upperclasses move in from 2pm to 8pm • Transfer orientation for new undergraduate students Tuesday Sept 3 Classes begin for all undergraduate and graduate programs Tues-Mon Sept 3-Sept 9 Drop/Add for Undergraduate students Tues-Mon Sept 10-Sept 16 Late Registration – GSEAP Wednesday Sept 11 General VPA informational meeting and individual program meetings for ALL VPA STUDENTS (declared majors and minors as well as interested majors and minors) 5:00. Location TBD. Thursday Sept 26 - Oct 3 Victoria Dolloff Solo Exhibition. VENUE: Experimental Space. Friday Sept 20 • Deadline: make-up of Summer 2013, “Incompletes” - GSEAP • Last day to register for Comprehensive Exam Courses - GSEAP Monday Sept 30 Deadline: selected students on financial aid to submit Sibling Enrollment form(s) for current academic year Monday Oct 7 SA Visiting Artist lecture Series: Nate Gibbons.
