Safety through Precision

As long ago as 1907 Heinrich Müller, the founder of our company, declaredhis passionate belief in the principleof “safety through precision”. Since those days we have maintainedan unbroken tradition of manufac-turing high-precision turned partsready to build in in medium andlarge quantities for our customersworldwide. We deliver to a variety of industrialbranches, first and foremost to theautomotive /motor, optical, precisionengineering, electrotechnical andtoys industries. Today our company is an interna-tionally highly regarded supplierwith about 90 employees at the twoproduction plants in Wendelsteinand Schwarzenbruck to the south-east of Nuremberg/Germany. The two plants, being only about10 km/6 miles apart perfectly com-plement each other technologically: Wendelstein produces in the rangeof Ø 1 mm up to Ø 30 mm (Ø 0.04inches – Ø 1.2 inches), Schwarzen-bruck from Ø 30 mm up to Ø 100mm (Ø 1.2 inches – Ø 3.9 inches).

Precision since 1907

The interaction of our highly skilledand mostly in-house trained work-ers together with the most modernmachinery and the most precisemeasurement and inspection tech-niques is the precondition for ourability to keep tolerances within therange of a thousandth of a millime -tre /micro-inch and of course alwaysto keep our promised deliveryschedules. Our machinery and equipment is sodiverse that most of the parts can beproduced in one operation on themachine without the necessity offurther secondary manual finishingprocedures. Since 1997 our quality managementsystem has been continuously certi-fied according to DIN EN ISO 9001standards. Environmental protection is an inte-gral part of our corporate manage-ment culture and contributes signifi -cantly to the success of our company. Since 2005 therefore our environ-men tal management system is certi-fied according to DIN EN ISO 14001standards. Occupational health and work safetystandards have been effectivelyintegrated into our corporate organ-isation.

In both plants a fully equipped tool-making department produces spe-cial devices, gauges and cams asrequired. Carbide forming tools are producedin-house either on optical sectionalgrinding machines (PeTeWe) or ona wire cut electrodischarge machine(MITSUBISHI). This enables us to respond to ourcustomers’ particular requirementsvery quickly and at reasonable prices. Our high-precision turned parts areproduced on the following automaticscrew machines: • CNC-guided 6-spindle automatic

screw machines (INDEX) • cam-guided 6-spindle automatic

screw machines (TORNOS) • CNC-guided single-spindle auto-

matic screw machines (INDEX,TRAUB, TORNOS, STAR)

• CNC-guided coil-fed single-spindleautomatic screw machines (ESCOMATIC)

• cam-guided single-spindle auto-matic screw machines (INDEX)

• cam-guided coil-fed single-spindleautomatic screw machines (ESCOMATIC)

Our modern automatic screwmachines are equipped with Y-axisand transit function. During theworking process we are able to dorear and crosswise processing, poly -gonal turning, eccentric turning,

deep drilling and marking operations. This enables us to produce the mostsophisticated turned parts in onlyone working process.

For secondary and finishing opera-tions we are equipped with machinesfor secondary turning, drilling, grinding, threading, thread rolling, milling, pressing and riveting. Our specialities are: • centerless grinding

(TSCHUDIN, PARAGON) • thread rolling • flat rolling • deburring by sandblasting

(IEPCO PEENMATIC) • vibratory finishing

(WALTHER TROWAL) • sub-assemblies of precision parts

Heat and surface treatment of ourproducts is carried out by reliableand efficient long-term partners. During the whole production processwe of course work exclusively withcalibrated gauges. Apart from that our quality controldepartment is also equipped withform measuring systems (MAHR),roughness /sectional depth measuringdevices (MAHR, HOMMEL), opticalsectional projectors (DR. HEINRICHSCHNEIDER), measuring micro-scopes (VISION), contour measuringstations (MAHR) and automatic optical sorting machines (VESTER)for a 100% inspection of our production output.
