Toby was still sleeping at 7:45! Bella ran to wake him up “Toby wake up we’re going to

be late for the bus!” Bella ran into the kitchen to let Toby get changed. Bella and Toby

were eating their breakfast when their Mum rushed into the kitchen.

“That was the bus Toby and Bella and I can’t drive you to school” said Mum. Bella

asked “Why not?” “I’ve got to look after your little sister.” Mum replied. Bella’s face

dropped “Oh no that means we’re going to walk to school!” Seven minutes later Bella

and Toby opened the gate to start walking to school.

The brother and sister started walking to school when

Toby stopped and pointed “Bella there’s Francis in

the car on the way to school.” “Doesn’t matter Toby

keep walking” said Bella “But that's a sneaky

driveway Bella! I can’t remember how to cross safely

what should we do?”asked Toby

A. STOP, AND LOOK INTO THE DRIVEWAY THEN ON THE ROAD.

B. WALK STRAIGHT ACROSS.

C. STOP, LISTEN FOR A CAR THEN LOOK INTO THE DRIVEWAY THEN ON THE ROAD

in the driveway and stopped just in

When Bella and Toby walked closer to school they came across

a Pedestrian Crossing. Toby was just about to say something

when they saw an ambulance rushing past them with the sirens

on. “Luckily we weren’t crossing then!” Toby exclaimed “But Bella

what do we have to do to cross safely at the Pedestrian

Crossing?”

A. RUN STRAIGHT ACROSS

B. STOP, LOOK RIGHT, LEFT, AND RIGHT AGAIN, LISTEN OUT FOR CARS AND CROSS

They keep walking till they come to a railway crossing with

the lights and sirens flashing “Oh no Bella a train’s coming

I don’t want to get run over! How do we cross safely?”

exclaims Toby.

Once the train passed Bella and Toby

started walking across when they saw a car

coming and waited till it was gone then they

walked across safely.

patrollers Toby said “Look over there its Molly and David in

their car on the way to school.” “How do we cross safely?”

Bella said to the road patroller ignoring Toby.

B. GRAB A FLAG AND WAIT TILL THE ROAD PATROLER SAYS “CROSS NOW”

No cars hit Bella and Toby but

Toby fell over and grazed his

knee.

road patroller yelled

The brother and sister kept walking till they reach a

place where they have to cross by their self. “oh look

there is school but it is on the other side of the road how

are we supposed to get across safely?” Toby exclaimed
