All three of our parishes will be going through a new cleaning and sanitizing procedure. We have a product that is effective on both hard and soft/cloth surfaces and safe for regular use. This new product actually kills bacteria/viruses at the cellular level, and stays that way, eliminating the need to clean after every Mass. This product will be more effective at keeping our churches sanitized and will save our pews from damage by the constant wetting and scrubbing of the other cleaners. The product is diocese approved and used in other churches in our area.

Endow is an educational apostolate providing

women the opportunity to study church

documents and saints, deepen our faith and

have fellowship in a small group setting. We

will be studying Saint John Paul II’s apostolic

letter, On the Dignity and Vocation of Women starting in

January. For more information, email Karen Landau,

[email protected]. We will meet at SJN on Thursdays

from 7-8pm. We will read and discuss material together! No

Homework! Please consider joining the small group!

WE REMEMBER We wish to extend our sympathy to those who mourn the loss of a loved one,

especially the soul who recently passed through death: Noreen F. Crummie of Assumption Church. May the choirs of angels her into eternal rest.

    EUCHARISTIC ADORATION SCHEDULE:

    ASSUMPTION CHURCH:

    Mondays 8:30 am — 6:00 pm

    Wednesday evening 6 pm—7 pm

(Mass and Litany to St. Joseph to follow)

    ST. JOHN NEUMANN CHURCH:

Mon. & Fri. 7:45 am —8:45 am (Mass to follow)

Wednesdays 9:30 am—6:30 pm (Mass to follow at 6:30)

    GOD BLESS OUR RECENTLY BAPTIZED

May God bless Waverly Marie Werner baptized at Assumption Church. Cleansed in life-giving waters, we become the family of God. Congratulations and welcome to our Parish Family!

“Make a Visit”—All three churches are open every day of the week from 7 am to 7 pm Visit Jesus frequently –daily, as much as possible– truly present in the Tabernacle. Let’s make it a habit, it could be a game changer in your life!

Be someone’s rescue story. We are

called to “cloth the naked”. When we do,

    we are clothing Christ.

St. Faustina’s Gate, a ministry of the Red Door that

provides essential seasonal clothing and other resources to

the homeless, is in desperate need of donations. Donations

of gently used men’s and women's winter coats and hoodies

sizes: XL, XXL and XXXl, men’s jeans, sizes 32 through

38, winter boots, sizes 10-13 as well as large warm

blankets are needed. A donation box has been set up in the

back of Sacred Heart and Assumption Churches. Please

only donate clean items in good condition. We thank you in

advance for being a loving presence to our brothers and

sisters in need and affirming their true dignity and value.

If you were thinking of making a year-end contribution to your church, anyone who is 70 1/2 years old before 12/31/2020 and has a retirement account, can make a

QCD. By mak ing a QCD you can exclude that retirement account withdrawal amount from your 2020 taxable income, and still use the whole amount of the standard deduction. Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs) have been waived for 2020 by the CARES Act. Please consider making a QCD to any of our three churches.

Alternatively, you could do a QCD immediately after 12/31/2020 and then this January 2021 QCD, plus any other QCD you might choose to make later in 2021, both could be used to reduce your 2021 RMD.

The funds withdrawn must be made payable directly to the church from the custodian. The custodian will send you a Form 1099 showing that the QCD was made and that the withdrawal amount is not taxable income.

QCDs can be used to reduce RMDs in future years. Just make sure that you do the QCD before you do the RMD.

Please consult with your retirement account custodian for further information. Thank you in advance for your consideration. If you turn 70 1/2 late in December, reach out to your custodian now, to expedite the process later.

Thanksgiving Day Mass Schedule—there will be one Mass at each

    church:

    Assumption Church 9:00 am

    Saint John Neumann 10:00 am

Blessed bread will be given out at each

    church following Mass. We are

thankful for each of you! Please join us.

MOMS*… come and be nurtured… Through small group discussions and journaling, participants have the chance to develop a sense of self and their own spirituality, pray for their children and schools. *Ministry Of Moms Sharing is for you. Email Lale [email protected] to be add-ed to the list and join us. Sessions begin when there is enough interest. Encourage your friends. Looking forward to meeting you!
